Who cares what the teacher says? You are going to make way more than his low paying job with black hat. He's probably taking a pay cut and pissed about it. He's probably right about quiting though. Not cuz you can't handle it but cuz it ain't worth it. But if your living with the folks and they expect college then go while you build up your business. Good luck.

report this fucker, tell your college counselor he's a prick and teachers like that shouldn't be around. Teachers should motivate students, not talk shit and demoralize them.

Well if you quit let it be on your own terms, but that must be annoying to hear.
Some teachers use different motivation techniques, too bad it's hard to know whether that's the case or he's just an ass.

He may have a point if you spell like that lol :D.

Jokes aside, you get real arsehole teachers like that everywhere! The best thing you can do is just ignore them and if you can just don't go to their lessons and do the course on your own back... it will be difficult but trust me you will feel so much better not having to deal with him.

    Just my 2 cents.

He is probably bluffing on the, "most wont pass", as I have heard them kind of stories from many a students. You just gotta get through that. Now the part about you not amounting to anything, you'll be homeless etc, not sure what to tell ya there. I will say that some of the most successful people have been told the same things if that is any consulation.

P.S. You can report him but it will be your words against his unless students back you.

Sometimes teachers do this just to motivate students to work harder. It's sort of like basic training, with a much lower level of verbal abuse to get you motivated.

Problem is, who needs the mindgames? Try to ignore it if you must stay in the class, but remember how you have all the tools you need to be successful and wealthy if you keep learning different online money making methods. Hang in there!

ABSOLUTELY! A person like that shouldn't teach. You could probably get his ass fired if all of you (students) got together and went to administration.

Why is this teacher telling you this? Is it because of the quality of your work? Is it because you're always late to class?

People don't say things like that just to have something to do. He's telling you to BRING IT!

If you want to stay in college, then work your fucking ass off. He's trying to get through to you. And, frankly, if this one college professor can say something like that and have you question your abilities then he's doing his job.

I have two college degrees, and I am a tutor for disabled college students. I have 11 students this semester, and yea, I ask myself all the time why half of them even bother. They half-ass assignments, don't bother to go to class half the time, or are always late, don't do homework, don't read, and have 1,000 excuses.

People who approach college like that approach their lives like that. When you graduate from college, and they hand you a diploma you aren't transported into an alternate universe where you're a responsible hard-working adult all of a sudden. You are still you, with a piece of paper. It is how hard you work in college that will determine how much that piece of paper is worth and what it can do for you.

Don't take what he is saying literally, take it as a challenge. If he says "you need to call it a day" ask yourself WHY he is saying that. You have every right to tell him to fuck off...but if he says that and you say "yea, maybe I should pack it in" You're proving him right.

I chose to quote your topic because you have expanded and prob helped a lot yeah i do show in my work that i am enthusiastic about the courses they offer and that i would like to further my college experience. And yeah i do have a disability which i ain't ashamed to admit anymore but that is not what is wrong with this case.
I am always on time for classes and actually speak to the tutors how i would like to be spoken to. Last year he wouldn't let a friend join the College course because he wore clothes which chavs often wear.

Anyways i am willing to answer more questions but i seriously don't like being called a failure as i got called that all through high school.

As others have mentioned. Ignore that little f|_|cker who call's himself an instructor. Also, report him to an administrator. A person of that stature does not deserve to be teaching. Even if you were a jack ass (not saying you are) that's unacceptable. He is there to teach not criticize.

This goes against what everybody else in this discussion is saying, but I'd just ride it out. Continue to do your work, and keep your mouth shut. The class won't last forever. As my mom always told me, "teachers hold the power of the pen." With this power, they can change your life.I'm just saying...

When I was doing my undergrad studies, I tried to appeal unfair grades. It is not easy. If your GPA gets low enough, you can get put on academic probation. After academic probation, you are blacklisted for a little while from applying to schools. This was true for state schools when I attended Georgia State earlier this decade. I know it's a little different for "For Profit" schools.

If you are doing everything you should be and you can prove that you are, just ignore him and do your work. If he fails you and you have proof you should have passed, you just go to the department head to protest and plead your case.

I had a couple teachers like this in college and most of the time they were right. Many students should have called it a day and many didn't pass their courses. Those he originally thought poorly of that stuck it out and passed earned their respect. Some teachers are just plain assholes like you find everywhere in life...accept it and move on.

It is better to be quiet and be assumed a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.
