Been lurking/haphazardly participating for a while in here but this is my first tutorial. Here's a quick, to-the-point way to use yahoo pipes to make an auto twitter account. Yahoo Pipes is pretty powerful and you can do alot more things using the pre-built scripts they already have. You can also build your own. Maybe you're creative and can combine that with whatever else tools you may have. Feel free to suggest below.

    What you need:
    Twitter Account
    Yahoo Account
    Hootsuite/Twitterfeed account

In the pipe posted below, just type in a term like 'internet marketing' then it will pull in recent news articles from a bunch of different sources.

Grab the RSS feed from the results and plug that into hootsuite.

Use the option to like distribute content once every 3 hours or 6 hours so it doesn't look too spammy or post more often if that's your forte. It will be automated forever. Here's the yahoo pipe. Browse other pipes there too:

(Looks like I can't post a link yet. Instead, go to Yahoo Pipes [Google it] then search for "Google News, Yahoo! News, Wikinews, NY Times National News by search term", and click the first result. If someone wants to post that link below feel free.)

Yes, it's complete albeit no pictures and intricate details I guess. It's nothing super complicated but Yahoo Pipes can be pretty powerful. I can't post links yet for the specific URL that I mentioned in it.

It's a feed, so it posts the new stuff as they come out. You can make it from a selection of different blogs, but you gotta make sure they have an RSS Feed or JSON Feed. An example of a news feed would be: go to bing dot com/news then search for "RSS". When you click it, that URL is a feed of Bing's Top News. It will be updated as long as bing's news is updated. If they don't update, it won't post anything new. You can combine a bunch different blog feeds together to create one giant yahoo pipe that post things from different news sources.

    Hi,

Any way to add some kinda of time interval to the Yahoo Pipe? I mean, I want to get feed in a random interval, 1 hour min, 3 hours max.

    Thanks

Anyone have any insight as to if this will be effected after March 2013? Or is Twitter just not letting any one else use RSS feeds direct FROM Twitter and RSS feeds IN will still be ok?
