As many of you know I do quite a bit of work on Tumblr and posted this video tutorial here http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackh...-cepis-super-tumblr-tutorial.html#post4340591 a while back. Just wanted to check in and give you some quick updates of things I have noticed. Adult blogs no longer work well on tumblr if you are looking to get followers. They get a lot of "traffic" but not many people follow. Most people who go on Tumblr looking for porn just do a "tag search" for their particular fetish, want, desire.. get their fap fap fap on, and leave. They don't follow. Adult blogs are even harder to monetize. You really have to be dedicated to making at least 50-100 adult blogs, specialized, to turn a good profit. So if you want traffic this is okay, but if you want followers, stay away from adult unless you have a really unique fetish Tumblrblog that you can tag properly. TAGS: speaking of tags, it has now come to my attention that putting more than 5 tags on a post can actually hurt its results in the Tumblr search. You want to be very specific about your tags and don't just load like 20 tags on each post or you will draw attention to yourself, especially if they aren't related to your topic. Christmas recipes/crafts etc blogs are smoking hot right now if you want to throw one up and use tags like "Santa, holiday, Christmas, recipe, holiday art, etc" Of course that's a seasonal blog so get your cash while you can and stuff it away fro next Christmas. Speaking of holidays a great Tumblr blog you may want to get started on is a "Valentine's Day Ideas" Tumblr blog. Tumblr users are loaded with teenagers who have no freaking clue what to do for their boyfriend/girlfriend for Valentine's day and you should be able to rank some of those tips fairly easy in the Tumbr tag search. Other than that, all is the same.
