Hi everyone!. I have been doing IM already for many years with previous success in the past. Even I managed to get a few 1000bucks/day along my career. Check this thread of mine from 2012:

    http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackh...2-i-just-hit-my-first-1000-day-clickbank.html

As you can see my main platform of monetization was clickbank. But a few months ago I have moved to CPA since CB was becoming harded to monetize. I see more potential on CPA , and now I am checking new ways of traffic generation to improve my earnings.

Lately , I started to read about Tumblr for adult traffic. seems like getting your blogs banned is a pain that you have to deal with all the time. Which makes me think I should go for another social platform as I like to work on things that will bring me passive money in the long term.

Seems like the main strategy is using a big account to spam the shit out and using other "satellite" accounts just to reblog it , so the promotional stuff ( links, videos , watermarks ) will stay there. But I also read that tumblr is even banning now just for rebloging anything they consider spam.

    I have a few questions:

what bots should I go for ? ( I heard a lot of tumblingjazz, followliker )
do they always ban anything related to adult even if you only spam pictures or videos with watermarks and not links?
what is the proxy per account rate you should recommend?
people to follow to stay under the radar ?
what about not using proxies and just cleans IPs from a dedicated dinamic connection for this project?
do phone verified account last longer? Does it matter if I just buy "normal quality accounts" ?

Any help would be highly appreciatted. I could also contribute with my experience on other areas like videomarketing , affiliate marketing, digital products, clickbank best converting niches , youtube mass comment spam , content creation , methods for adult dating monetization ect.

    thank you in advance [IMG]

I've been with adult tumblr for the last 3 years, more-less successfully (few thousand $ /month).
    Here's my experience:

I've never used bot. I know that bot can save you some time, but I prefer the manual way. I have few tips and tricks, few plugins, and that saves you quite time. I loose something like 5-6 hours per week on tumblr (and it's bulk work, I don't do anything for 5-6 days, then I hit 5-6 hours to set everthing up). If you're interested in those tips, tricks, sites and plugins, I'll be hapy to share.

They will ban you 100 times more if you put links than if you put only watermarks (in the latter case, you might get ban only because of copyright, or by accident. If they terminate your account without reason, you can mail their support and they will restore it back most of the times). However, if you don't put links, you'l get 1000 times less traffic and $. So I'd go with the links.

I also don't use proxies, but VPNs. I have 2-3 accounts per vpn.

When I first started, I also didn't follow people to make them follow me back (although that could be good method with adult blogs if you pretend to be a horny wife :D). What I did was to find some blogs that I thought have nice amount of followers and message them to check out my blog and reblog few pics they liked. This method got me to 1,5-2K followers within two days few times. Once you hit 10K followers, it gets easier because you get to reblog yourself grow a bit faster that way. You could also buy some shoutouts to lift you up a bit at the beginning.

As for the phone verified accounts, I don't think it matters.

I'll be happy to answer whatever questions you might have, given that I know the answer :)

    Cheers

What if I create over 200 accounts with random IPs and set all the accounts to post pics from other accounts using IFTTT with random nsfw tags and title "Watch me live on asdasd.com" (no hyperlink). And never enter this account again, never follow others etc. just reposting others content.
Can I get traffic to my tumblr accounts using nsfw hashtags ?

Never tried it, so I can't really tell. But I'd say hardly. I mean, if you have no followers, than there's (pretty much) none to see your posts. Tags can perhaps bring some traffic to you blog, but I'd say not much. I don't even use them.
From my experience, if you want clicks (and clicks=$), you have to have followers and put the link right in front of their faces.

Hi, nix.feliks From what I have read at the moment, Adult is the most punished niche at tumblr. But , do they ban any niche as long as you spam clickable links. ?

I guess it works like other social networks where IT engineers mainly try to stop the public common bots , but if you can create your own scripts and automated tools, then you can bank hard without being caught. Normally any automation that goes through the API is easily detected. I made pretty decent on youtube comments during a couple of years because my scripts could act like a human person via browser request. The only bad side: No multi-thread , 4 desktop machines working 24 / 7 (cheaper on the long run than VPS as I still have those PCs available for other automated task) spamming comments like crazy with a dedicated router for each. It needed some initial investment , but the profit coming later was good.

What is the point about being safer with VPNs and not private proxies? Normally VPNs like hidemyass provide a range of IPs that are blacklisted on the big sites.

I do agree with you ,that if you want traffic , watermarks is not the best option, as they make you depend on type in traffic, losing many visits at the end.

I am currently runing various tumblr sites, the bots are great for boosting your fresh accounts (following other people, or adding some content), after that I usualy setup ifttt accounts and let the accounts grow naturally

    Hello,

I have some questions, if you don't mind:

    1) You say you would go with the clickable links for the traffic, but does it mean you used clickable links for your own tumblr blogs, or do you have another method?

    2) Were you blog banned for a reblog? I use the mehod "Seems like the main strategy is using a big account to spam the shit out and using other "satellite" accounts just to reblog it , so the promotional stuff ( links, videos , watermarks ) will stay there". For now, no ban. But I would like to know if someone has been already banned for a reblog.

    3) For your method "What I did was to find some blogs that I thought have nice amount of followers and message them to check out my blog and reblog few pics they liked.", you weren't reported by others?

    4) How many accounts did you have?

    5) Did tumblr terminate some of your accounts?

    Thanks.

1 and 2) I create a new blog with the links, and reblog to other, bigger blogs that have followers. That way I get followers on new blog, and reduce (ut not eliminate) the risk of getting banned on other, bigger accounts. However, I've got huuuuge bans on the accounts I used only for reblog.

    3) Nope, I wasn't reported for that, as I did it in the beginning while having nice, legit looking accounts without any ads or links (note: I did it mostly in adult niche).

4 and 5) Overall, I've had more than 200 accounts. Around 30% are alive currently (60ish).

Some advices: change ips (proxies or vpn), change user agent for every account (with plugins like random agent spoofer or similar), obsessively clean history, cookies, everything (click&clean plugin), delete old posts from the accounts (they don't serve much purpose anyways).

Further advice: try to promote your own products, or at least not so spammy products as I think most of the popular ad networks are already on their spam radar, and probably trigger some spam filters.

It's basically a race game, where you have to hide as good as you can and create a bit faster than they are killing you.

That point of view from someone experienced at tumblr like you, makes me think this is kinda churn and burn traffic. Not something you can "set and forget" because will be banned in the future.

I read about a member here who was targetting the SEO part. Doing keyword research on low competition kws and setting many "micro niche" blogs as tumblr ranks pretty well on google. I thought it could be a great method, but due the high risk of being banned, I guess it´s not a good long term strategy.

Thanks for your useful answers, Nix.feliks.

There is just one thing which troubles me: Tumblr may ban for a reblog. Let's say I have a blog A filled with links, and another legit blog B which reblogs my blog A.

If I reblog a post from my blog A to my blog B, my blog B may be banned, but if my followers from the blog B reblog the post I reblogged from my blog A, will they be banned too? Tumblr goes that far?

How do you find big accounts? I found that task impossible. I have tried to do that a lot of times on posts with over 20k notes, but with all the reblogs going on i either only find accounts which reblogged it and that have other low count only posts, or i find accounts which have high notes on other posts too but all of their content is reblogged so i wouldn't know if they are just reblogging big accounts or what..

Thanks for your answer. I've already created 50 blogs with random IPs all reposting other blogs content ( not reblogging ! ) + some random adult hashtags under each post. So far I see no traffic to my website, next step is to choose from all these accounts 1 authority and start reblogging his content on the other 49 accs and getting followers :D I can smell the ban hammer coming :D

I guess that, in that case, there would be smaller possibility of getting banned because there wouldn't be your posts with aff links getting reblogged all over the tumblr, so it wouldn't count so much as spamming. Never tried to rank tumblr blog so I really can't say if its any good. However, when googling random stuff I rarely see much of tumblr blogs on the first pages, dunno.

It seems that they do go that far, for example check out last posto in this thread: http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/tumblr/812057-tumblr-terminated-my-account.html
They terminated his blog and he only reblogged other posts. He eventually managed to get the blog back, but this is what tumblr support wrote him: "Please don't use an extension to blacklist spam domains as they are already blacklisted on our side and don't post/reblog about these domains as doing so will trigger another termination of your account."

However, if you don't spam (i.e. post or reblog 50 times per day and every post has aff link), I would say that you will be left alone enough time to make some money. If you find the way to make yourself useful to your audience (especially if its sfw), by promoting your something nice and useful, you might even not get banned at all. For example, there are people in some specific niches who established themselves as experts, and are selling their products (eg. books) for the last 2-3 years without any problems.

So I'd say there are possibilities but all dependes on what niche you choose, what kind of products you promote and in what ways, and of course, how much energy and time you want to invest in it.

Generally, I find some posts with few thousands notes. Then I go through the notes checking which blog's name comes up the most - and the name comes up when someone rebloggs that pic from that blog. The logic is, if many people reblogged the pic from that particular blog, that blog must have much followers.

In nsfw niche, mostly dating. In sfw I have my own products.
In the begining I used direct aff links, but I soon started using my own page. From my experience, link to your webpage, not direct to aff links; there might be a bit less clicks, but it's a bit safer.
