Been reading that tumblr web 2.0's now have redirects so its useless to add your links to the posts now? I went to go inspect my link and its got tumblr.com/redirect and its not like a normal do follow link.

Edit the HTML code in tumblr design editor and manually add your links in.
They wont be redirected. Pretty sure that only posts are redirected atm..

Snoopy, we've had this discussion lately quite too much honestly, I even did a case study on it.. If you'd like to check it out, be my guest.

It's the same as a 301 redirect, it passes link juice either way. I registered about 100 expired tumblr blogs today, all over 35+ pa.

I also use the 301 url shorter with them, so it's good.

So you are saying the links are still good either way? I tried doing a bit of searching on the subject and could not find a straight answer from anyone. I must not have been looking hard enough.

Design editor is in your dashboard.
Log into your tumblr and try this link https://www.tumblr.com/customize/

If that doesn't work simply log into tumblr and visit your page. In the top right hand corner there should be a button saying Edit Theme.

If not hover over the right hand corner it may pop up, depends on your theme as well.

Once in the editor/customizer click the Edit HTML link.
Put your link in there with your anchor text ect..
