Hi I tried searching this up and I am gathering that Tumblr is a legit source for building backlinks. I have posted a couple of links on expired tumblrs I have bought, but when I inspect element I am seeing "nofollow." Are these links still doing me justice? Will this type of link building help me? Or am I doing something wrong to where I need to make these links "********"

    Thank you

Tumbler alone will not make much of an impact. Try other expired web 2.0 methods along with expired tumblers to make. FYI: "No follow" elements don't pass on link juice.

Yea that's why I was wondering how Tumblr can be used for backlinking if the links are nofollow? BUt yes I am aware that Tumblr alone isnt a good standalone strategy

Okay so that is a great video but with that technique, each tumblr would only be valid for one link? Can anyone confirm this?

Are building links in the body of tumblr content useless? Is putting a link in the description really the only way? would that make each tumblr only valid for one link?

You asked a really great question.

In terms of direct SEO benefits, you're not going to benefit all that much from Tumblr.

As you already noticed, the links that you generate on Tumblr are "nofollow".

With that said, you can still benefit tremendously from Tumblr in a roundabout way.

It's like trying to get links from social media.

In of themselves, those links are worthless because they're "nofollow".

But the fact that people are sharing your content based on particular categories or niches, they can have a follow on

    SEO benefits, how?

Bloggers who are looking for new information might get a hold of your content and link to you.

I've seen this quite a bit.

I mean it doesn't happen automatically, but you can definitely turn popularity on Tumblr into something more

substantive as far as SEO goes.

At the very least, if you play your cards right, you get some decent traffic from Tumblr.

Tumblr is not too shabby when it comes to its own internal traffic flow.

WTF are you lot on about?

Tumbr links have become REDIRECTED not NOFOLLOW.

    Get it right.

Yes they still pass linkjuice, yes they are still very much worth having as Tier 1 links IF you add quality content.

Man, NOFOLLOW links are still passing Authority !

That's why it's a good idea to point links to your high DA profiles like fb page,
twitter page, ytb channel, linkedin profile, or whatever, even if the links from
    these properties are nofollow...

Because in google's eyes it's still very valuable even if it's Nofollow !

    Think authority.

Don't you guys know what Domain Authority Stacking is all about ?
Stop thinking that only do-follow links are worth it !
