Hey guys, I've been having a hard time recently creating tumblr accounts. I create only one account per IP address (private proxy, with ssl support). In the past I have used hotmail e-mail addresses. (same as outlook, live). It seems that once I create a tumblr account with a working hotmail address, I don't get any instabans from accounts created with aliases of that e-mail address. The bad thing is that hotmail displays the same first and last name for each alias. This doesn't seem to be an issue though since when one alias gets banned the others persist. I use fairly generic names so I'm guessing that helps. I've noticed that if I make a brand new hotmail account it has a high chance of being instabanned by tumblr - do they have a way of checking the age of the account? It seems like they must, but there could be variables I'm not considering. Anyone have a good formula for how long to age an e-mail address before using it? I'm afraid to use yahoo mail addresses since yahoo owns tumblr now. Has anyone had success with this? Whats crazy is I was able to create a bunch of accounts with TOR (June-August 2013) and then access them from my private proxies about a month later. I don't understand why this would work since tor exit nodes are heavily used and show up as some crazy country like Romania. I realize that posting this method might lead to it being banned by tumblr but honestly I think its fucking incredible that they havne't banned it already. With the tor method I used aliases of a working hotmail account. I'm also a bit paranoid about randomizing the order and timing of logging into my accounts. It would be fairly easy for tumblr to catch accounts that are on different IPs but always login within a certain number of minutes from each other. After enough occurrences the statistical likelihood of the accounts not being related approaches zero. Does anyone think they might have had accounts banned already due to this method? I realize also that a public forum is not the ideal place to discuss this. Are there any private forums that I might be able to get an invite to? I have been and continue to be very successful tumblr and I have plenty of valuable experience and knowledge to share.

I use a domain and a email wildcard to catch all the random email addresses to one inbox. So no need to create emails, you just have to type in whatever comes into your mind like mydog@mydomain.com, martin@mydomain.com etc.

I will try that since I own several domains. The only thing I worry about then is that they can link all of your accounts together once they've banned a few from the same domain. Has anyone had accounts banned because of this?
