    Hello all,

I have all the tools necessary to get to the top and I have the know-how, I just want to know how I should get started monetizing a blog in the making money online niche. PM me if you don't mind me IMing you or just respond to this thread to tell me how to start. I would appreciate it to be like this:

    1. Choose this or that theme for Wordpress
    2. Install these or those plugins
    3. Add adsense or kontera and blah blah
    4. Do this or that

In the order of how I should or could do it and what I should do.

    Thanks a lot.

Keep updating your blog daily for the next 3 years and maybe you gonna see it in the top 1000 :D
Seriously , i have started a web hosting reviews blog last year (about 86000000 competitors) i have regulary update it + i have worked on SEO with the tools i have , i haven't find my website in the first 100 page of google.
Maybe you have the chance to do it but with and old domain , because i have checked my competitor's domain ages and i was surprised (form 5 to more than 10 years)
But who know maybe you are luckier than me ;)

Well trust me I will post my success. I have Xrumer, Scrapebox, etc. I can slow build up backlinks and reach the 100k mark by the end of the year. I expect to be in the top 20 pages by the end of this year.

I use to disagree with this statement "content is king", but it really is true.

I've been updating my wordpress blog for 1 year 4 months now, and it's 10th page for 72,000,000 competitions without quotes (870,000 competition with quotes - 4th page).

I WOULD have ranked first page without quotes IF I had the keywords in the domain name itself, which I don't. (BIG MISTAKE)

I also have noticed that a .org will OUTRANK a .com when it comes to the search engines.

So if you have a .org (I'd buy the .com as well and have it redirect to your .org) and you have the keywords in the domain (with or without hyphens, doesn't matter), and you add content daily, after several months (or sooner depending on keyword competition) you WILL rank first page.

Ah, yes, the search for positioning in the macro-niche!

I'm shooting for a short-tailed (OK, one word) with around 10 million competitors.

But that breaks down as follows: top competing sites: 10; secondary competing sites: 40; sites up there but not at the top: 200; sites that use the word without even trying to place or compete: 9,999,750.

And none of the top sites are using SEO or show much evidence they even know what it is.

I'm also putting in an enormous amount of pre-planning on how my campaign will be assembled. I've around 5 million words on file from previous work some years ago which translates into 5000 totally different 1000 word articles and with very light spinning and shuffling should give be around 25K posts to put on web 2.0 sites, article directories, etc.

But above all, I'm targeting the particular key-word because of quite good financial prospects without much ongoing work if I hit high in the SERP.

This aside, I have to wonder why you're targetting a term with so much competition. Believe me I understand the ego gratification aspect of the thing but it can really get in the way of your income.

Also, are you putting all your eggs in one basket? I'm shooting for the top but my plans for wheels, pyramids and the like also will make use of and compete in about 25 short-tail keywords and maybe 100 longer ones.

I too am shooting for a number 1 spot with a really tough keyword, but unlike you, I AM NOT A BABY - who needs 100,000,000 when you can do this:

    Results 1 - 10 of about 2,030,000,000 for google. (0.64 seconds)

See, I want to rank number 1 for the term google.

I figure if I post 10,000 articles per day and open up at least 5000 web 2.0 sites, bookmark sites and the like I can maybe do it in 6 months ...

Now, all I need is an army of about 1000 workers and about 50 servers and maybe 50,000 IP addresses and I am good. Anyone want to help me?

(in case you have not figured this out, I am joking)

    I wish you goodluck, even though I think it's a waste of time. Only one guy has been able to rank superfast on the first page for that keyword and that's grizzly;

having said that,I think you'd be good by doing what all super affiliates do, generate a huge email list, get good email templates and try to make your emaillist buying the so called "amazing secret tools or services" or join super affiliate prelaunches and try to get the cash prizes by sending your email list to a particular prelaunch site.

I have many other things on the side that are bringing in profit right now, this is just a big and crazy goal for me that I want to see go somewhere. I have the ability it is just I am not a blogger and I have not monetized blogs. I know of the various methods involved with affiliate products and ads and I just wanted to see how people would go about with this. It is not as simple as adding Adsense code in a box to all you naive fucktards.

I have a site ranking top 3 for a 95M competing sites term using a WP blog. This is a super competitive niche, so it is possible.

    1. Choose this or that theme for Wordpress - you have chosen already [thesis] - good choice
    2. Install these or those plugins - plenty of posts on how you like to optimize your blog online. wp super cache, auto blog pugin?, shorten2ping,platinum seo, xml sitemap generator, dagon sitemap, contact form......etc etc
    3. Add adsense or kontera and blah blah - add both? Split test the niche
    4. Do this or that - you seem to know what to do... set proper permalinks though!

Clickbank should probably be your friend in that niche with plenty of products and some with subscriptions

Thanks for the good post, that is pretty much how I thought I should do it, I just needed some other opinions.
