It's a dream of mine to have a beautiful planted tank and to give a beautiful home to these snails and fish. However, Apple snails are notorious for eating plants and it's nearly impossible to keep them in a planted tank (if you want it to remain planted LOL). These aquatic snails are quiet illegal in many places of the world because of their ferocious appitite and the damage they can cause.

I've discovered as long as there is food (broccoli, zucchini, etc) in the tank, Fatass (the snail's name) will not touch the plants. However, as I just discovered this morning, As soon as the food runs out, those plants start looking mighty delicious.

So, hornweed is out!

I was thinking duckweed, a layer of aquatic grass that grows faster than she can consume it (hopefully), various types of moss, and hard plants that she won't want to eat like anubius. Any suggestions bhw aquatic experts? lol

Have you tried tuning it off and on again?

She has a mate to do that! Ha, Jk. actually I think the male (tiny is his name cus small) is a different species of mystery snail that looks like an apple snail. But i don't think he's a true apple snail. It explains why the eggs i keep incubating don't hatch and why he's so small, hence the name, and never seems to grow.

They still try to mate like rabbits tho.

He ignores the plants completely, So that also tracks.
