I have a site that uses a "Request a Quote" system for used products. There is only 4 main competitors that are in my niche. This is not a tough niche at all.

The issue I am dealing with, is I cannot find a content writer who can find out enough about these products to write articles for it and most of the products don't have a very long description.

What would your advice be to try and get rankings to my individual pages. I am using yoast SEO and all my main pages are showing green and I am using SEMRush for the site audit and everything looks good there.

I used SEMRush to check my competitors and I see where their backlinks come from but most are directories that cost $500 just to get listed.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated because I am lost as to what I can do to get my pages ranked higher.

Have you looked into buying link building packages on the marketplace and pointing them to your pages?

If you want to focus on creating content on your products and they don't have much description -- how about...

    • Product A vs Product B articles? Why is your product better than a competitive product? etc.
    • Review articles?
    • Articles about the uses of the product? Write about the different ways it can be used?
    • Videos? If you have the ability to create videos, can you create something there?

    • Thanks Thanks x 1

Make your product descriptions longer and keyword rich. Go after quality backlinks from authority websites mixed do-follow and no-follow. Diversify your anchor texts. Create a YT Channel and upload product videos. Do video marketing, get social signals, optimise your inner pages for your targeted keywords...

As you see there are tons of ideas on how to increase your rankings. I know it is frustrating at the beggining, so I would recommend you to learn a little bit more about SEO and then try to implement those tactics...

I appreciate the advice. As far as the product descriptions, there isnt much to put. We are trying to get product videos going to make a YT channel. I am looking everywhere to find good authority backlinks but having no luck. I may just utilize the marketplace and get it going.

Yes, look for quality Web 2.0's and .edu backlinks. Also, press release services will do the job. After you create your YT Channel, do video marketing because videos ranks faster than websites and converts much better.
