Hey after reading a couple of threads here on BHW about offline marketing I saw that it has the potential of making me a ton of money online.

The thing is I dont want to visit potential customers live or cold call them because one Im 14, and two they might not take me seriously since Im young. (Also Im a bit shy talking to random strangers in person).

What I want to do is email them directly. My questions are, how would I obtain the emails of the owners, managers of the companies/business's? Any softwares to automate this? Also how well does emailing them directly convert?

Google the target niche you want to get into and check out the local listings. In addition to Google, you can use Craigslist, YP, Yelp, Judybook, etc.

To get a better answer of what you are asking, I think you should tell us what you are offering your customers. Are you offering them SEO, advertising space on your own site, Google Places listing, Facebook pages, Mobile sites, SMS? There are different approaches you can take depending on what service you offer. Although many of them are similar in approach, some of them takes a bit of tweaking.

I am not sure myself how to close a client by not meeting them face to face. By meeting them in person, it establishes trust, credibility, and gives your business a more personal feel. I would assume the next best thing would be to start off slow. By slow, I mean talk to people you know already. Talk to your friends, family, acquaintance, and let them know what you are offering. Build up a portfolio and references first. Once you build that portfolio up, it doesn't matter what age you are. If you have the proven track record to show people, they will eat it up.

Then like I said, I would suggest starting off with people you know and referrals to build up your portfolio and references. Either that or work with some people you know to help you sell and give them a cut of the fees.

If you live near a metropolitan area you could even do something as simple as hanging up flyers or something at transportation hubs such as train stations and bus stops.
