Trying to get fame from big accounts

I started doing that:

-decide for 10 bigger accounts in my country
-comment their fotos and story
-dm them and try to build a connection
-get in touch with them and get fame with them.

So far no results. A few answered my dms but that is the farthest I got. Do you think that strategy is valid or does it not work?

Do not give up, sounds like an interesting strategy. Who knows, someone might be interested to help you out. Just keep on doing it.

It's a very healthy approach, but you need to search for accounts that are 'equal' to yours. No one will accept a partnership with someone with a lower fame if you don't pay them. I suggest: either you propose a fee for a shoutout, either you search for accounts that are equally to yours in number of followers and start with them. You need to build slow.
