basically just what the thread title says. I am at rank 17 and the top 3 rankes sites are .edu and a wikipeida. I am just wondering if its worth bothering trying to knock them off the top spots.

    Thanks a lot.

i don't think anyone can answer that.

I have a dozen education based scholarship sites that are all over 5 years old.

i outrank many edu sites. did it happen right away? no, i some instances it took years.

can u compete with the number of edu back links that those sites? can you consistently backlink for the next year?

most edu sites arent trying to compete for any particular keyword so if you are in it for the long haul and you keep at, then you can outrank them

    good luck

Thanks for both your replies. I think ill just dump that niche because I think G will just think a .edu is better anyway.
