well, I never used paypal.. or something like paypal.

but for lots of websites you need to pay by paypal.
and my problem is I came across this webstite

I have been a top notch ebay Seller/buyer for over 1yr. I have not had a problem at all, cutomers all are Very Happy and satisfied with my Business, That is now ruined! Then this past Friday, OUT of Know where! Pay Pal has stolen $250.00 from my account and locked up the rest of my account. Which has just destroyed my business on Ebay.

I had used my Pay Pal debit card account for purchases/cash transactions before never a problem. This monies they have stolen from me was approved by Pay Pal 3 months ago..It was a total cash transaction. Now they said a possible fraud credit card was used.. I contacted the individual and here lies the problem.

Months ago they did the same thing to him with charge backs, and he had done thousands and thousands of selling on Ebay. Well it cost him his Business. And he did not nor will pay Pay Pal the fees he owes them. So now anyone that has done business with him..they are going after and stealing money from them..apparently to get there fee money from someone...

That like a lawyer trying to get legal fees from the said parties friends/business acquaintances who ever they had contact with!! SO ..Tell me Is This Legal?

I need help and want to be apart of the Class Action Suit..And I have had many other people email me to knowledge of this happening. Most are scared..And of course there is no other choice on Ebay, than Pay Pal..You could only do checks and money orders..but you lose alot of customers. In the end I wish I did my business that way. I lost the money and All my effort/Time I have put into Ebay.. OH!! another thing I tried to correct my current ads in the description..to let customers know I can't Take Pay Pal now. And they wouldn't let me update ad. Which is also corrupt. 6 days to go in auction item ads.

Please email me as to what steps I need to take or if you can add me to Class action Suit against Pay Pal.

and they say you can't trust paypal, they take your money.
but I don't want that.

so you people have paypal.
how does it work?
do they give you your money?
with paypal you have to give your bank account numbers, is this safe?

I want to open an account, and I want to be 100% sure, it's safe and it can be trusted, because every site wants money by paypal.

so please give me some info.:D

GayPal is a reputed (cough, cough) and regulated organisation. Nonetheless, it is a real pain in the backside for sellers.

It is also owned by eGay...if that helps!!

I wan to pay for hosting. on hostgator they say pay by paypal, and on other sites they say pay by paypal.

so it seems lots of people use it.
but i want to use it to pay for domain name and hosting

so if I make an account, they won't take money away. or a part of it, like 10%.
what if someone pays me, what happens then via paypal.

lets say I sell a product, how does that work via paypal.

and they want me to put in my bank number.
but is this safe, I want to pay for hosting etc.

Paypal doesnt care about you, all they care about is the money they make. If you make allot money which means your paying allot paypal fee's accepting that money, then paypal will not bother you as much as long as you have ssn # or tax id #, and everything else verified.

I would suggest going with your own merchant account and use something like 1shoppingcart as your payment gateway or use Google checkout.
 
GayPal is fine to use if you want to pay for items with reputable companies for hosting and the likes.

If you are selling then they will take a cut in the same way as any other merchant.

It's horses for courses.

Just because you use PP to pay for your web hosting (because that's what Hostgator requires) does not mean you are then tied in to using them for payments to you. You are free to use which ever merchant you like!
 
Well Paypal really don't care about its customer, specially when you are using someone's service, They never refund for service so if you are gona pay someone for any short of service and if he doesn't do very well, then forget about moeny
 
I have never had a problem, with Paypal, I sometimes do over 50k a month with them. All large ticket items. But that being said....I have read some really bad horror stories from other people, that seem to get wacked out of nowhere. I think you are safe with paypal, but that being said, just pay close attention. good luck

LOL if you are doing over 50k in a month, the of course you probable wont. Look how much in paypal fees you pay for those high of months, if you don't get allot disputes or chargebacks in and no complaints from buyers as much, then paypal is not interested in screwing you over as you make them allot money.

and I have to put in my bank account number.
is this safe, wont they act sneaky, and pull of some of the money i have on my bank, and steal it for them self.

are they going to take some money, without me knowing about it.


and this, well almost everyone uses hostgator or godaddy.
and everybody pays with paypal. so why wouldn't it be safe.

everybody who uses hostgator, how are you doing with paypal.
any experiences, is it safe ...this is really important to know.

- Santrex vps

They limited my account after 1-2 months of the transactions. Then they reversed them causing my site, cookie stuffing script, and CPAXtreme to go down.

Then the vps got reformated since santrex thought it was fraud, my ssl got fucked and hostgator account closed.

Even after i explained to santrex, hostgator, and godaddy that paypal had fucked me, and i repaid them, They still could not get the data back.

I lost about 3-4 days trying to reup everything and making it work.

Paypal = Hope it dies, if not soon as i make my first 10k, i will invest that back into a botnet and ddos those mother fuckers down.

I use them for GoDaddy and have had no probs.
 
Paypal is trustworthy, been using it for over a year now.
 
Yeah paypal sucks - even for sellers I have lost about $900 this last year through buying intangible bullshit. They back the seller all the way - I hope there staff get scammedby an elite team of nigerian 419 scammers ...

Seriously whats the alternative?

I host with hostgator but I don't use paypal to pay them. I always use a credit card without any problem. If you don't want to use your credit card then get a preloaded visa or mastercard with just enough to pay for your hosting on it. Then there is no connection whatsoever to your personal bank accounts. You can get these cards at just about any drug store, convenience store, or grocery store. I've used these types of cards many times online and never had a problem with them. Just a thought.

This is strange since I do not sell anything from the website they are talking about. It is a BANS site which only links to ebay. There is no link to tell them that, and I have tried using the "contact us" feature but I get no response. I ran a successful furniture site for many years and used paypal as a form of payment, which my customers had the option to use, and never had a problem, and I often had months that sales through paypal were 12-15 thousand. I also know a number of people that have lost everything using paypal.
