Wondered why I hadn't seen a friend around for a day or so, when someone sent me this. Apparently he has been a naughty boy - a bit more blackhat than the rest of us lol

A man has been charged after police located drugs, firearms and evidence of the manufacture of explosives and other weapons at a home in the Blue Mountains.

About 5.30pm yesterday (Wednesday 15 April 2009), police executed the search warrant at a Valley Heights address. Inside they located a large amount of amphetamines.

Police also found evidence that firearms assembly was taking place in the premises, including blue prints, schematic diagrams and assembly diagrams for the manufacture and assembly of several firearms, including a machine gun and automatic pistol.

Officers located firearms parts which had been machined and fashioned into parts appearing in many of the schematics, and also located what appears to be a machine gun in a near complete state. An unsecured, operational firearm was also located with a large amount of ammunition of various calibres.

Also located was literature and diagrams on how to make home made explosives and a flame thrower. Unknown and unlabelled chemicals were also located and police believed they are being used in the manufacture of amphetamine and explosives. Numerous specialist police remain at the scene.

As a result of the search, a 33 year-old Valley Heights man was arrested. He was taken to Springwood Police Station where he was charged with ten offences including supply prohibited drug ? indictable quantity, manufacture firearm without licence and possess unregistered firearm without licence/permit.

He was bail refused to appear at Penrith Local Court today.
