Hello, before starting my journey thread I wanted to confirm that it's name is indeed "Tronox's journey to Quick & Easy Cash Money $$$ on da Interwebz". Why a name like this ? To grab attention, I guess. And to match the style of this forum. This is not the first time I seek success in my online ventures. I've had another journey thread lying somewhere around BHW (Youtube + PPD). It was somewhat successful. I reached 72$+ a day but these earnings didn't last so long. Looks like that money vanished into thin air as I've unsuccessfully invested half of that capital into low quality SEO services here in BHW. I've bought brand new PC with the remaining long greens (just to make you some of the newcomers jealous). Now to tell the whole story. I want to state that making greenbacks online wasn't as easy as it looks. Actually, that journey thread was the only time I've made anything decent online in about 1.5 years since I've started. Now, to recap what I have done in that time and how successful or unsuccessful I was. You decide. Youtube + music promotion channel (February 20, 2013 - April 21, 2013) I thought that it would be a nice place to start if I want to earn something (inside the interwebs) . About 5-10 minutes work a day, some editing, checking for nice, new songs. All the right to the song owners, of course. I was getting a few subs a day - nothing fancy. Just before I was able to monetize it (wanted to join a network for partnership) someone made a copyright claim. Shit happens. Moving on. Youtube + full games uploading channel (May 9, 2013 - the day I joined bhw) I was uploading full games of one famous online MMORPG game. Nothing fancy, again. This time I was taking the games from Twitch.Tv and monetizing them with adsense. I was linking to streamers pages on Twitch.tv and giving them credit of course (in the video descriptions). While making some money by doing this I managed to get +-500 subs in about one month. Everyone wins, I guess. The streamer gets some viewers coming from youtube. I get some adsense benjamins. Except, someone had another channel like that and we have both had a few same full games in our channels (I guess you know what the game is by now). The guy made a copyright claim on my black ass. Once again (how Dafuq? Does he own these games ? I don't know, I guess not. He is just a random guy like me. Uploading games N shit.). Made around 20$ in a month. Not bad huh ?. Once again - back to googling "how to make money online" Blackhatworld and the amazing weekly payments from PPD (the day I joined bhw - 9th September 2013) Of course, biggest success I've had was with PPD (strange right?). Day by day, inventing new ways of selling bullcrap to U.S people (ages 13-28) I stumbled upon hack niches and sweet french leads of 17$. Hack niches weren't the best thing I tried with PPD. Made a nice sum of about 200$ + first moolah I made in them interwebz. The glorious days of movie niche! (9th September 2013 - 25th October 2013) This is the highpoint of my "online career". I was making about 25$-30$ on a daily basis (Fuckin yeah!). I know that for most of you this is a moderate sum money since there is a lot of guys here who Kinda made it in IM. I mean, not 1k a day, not 1$ a day. I'm realist by nature and I believe that only about 5% actually make something bigger than 50 singles a day. Even on my best days I wasn't able to jump above the 95%. The right time to start reinvesting? (25th October 2013 - 11th March 2014) I made a really clever decision reinvesting cash money into seo services of marketplace. Lost about 500$ and never really ranked anything. After that, I bought SEO tools and started reading about ranking websites myself. If I would rank for 200k+ keywords of biggest PPD niches I would "Bank hard". That never happened, lol. Never managed to even rank simplest keywords of 100-1000 searches a month. Made whole 2$ out of 800-900$ investment and 4 months+ work. Time to move on. My shot at Themeforest.net (11th March 2014 - 15 October 2014) I thought that it would be great to stop trying to sell shit and learn a skill since other than my IM experience I had nothing. Started learning HTML & CSS. I'm gonna try to keep it short. At first, rejects were due to lack of quality. First 4 or 5 months my template quality wasn't the best and I could understand the rejections. When quality was finally good enough it turned out that my template wasn't original enough. This was at 10 rejections. I decided to make a new template from scratch and make it more original. I can't recall how many times I redone it completely to make it original, but I again gave up on template after total of 20 hard rejections. Most of rejects due to lack of originality. I know that Themeforest's standards are high, but it seems like a waste of time when you try to make template look good just for few people all the time. Back in blackhatworld.com (15 October 2014 - present day) What I have now - one dead end website (1 article that I tried to rank for 20k PPD keyword ). It is stuck at 300+ rank. If I can call it stuck . It never reached top 300, actually. 2 tests using only social signals that are dripfed daily. Not in top 300, yet ?. One parasitic type website that is hosted on wordpress.com. Trying to rank it only with web 2.0s that are shit-spun (articles scraped with FCS networker's scraper. About 50%+ uniqueness) and 1 adsense micro niche website that I will try to rank using only unique content that I write myself which will be hosted on Super web 2.0's . I will also be learning PHP + mysql. These will be added next to HTML & CSS in the list of "how not to rip people off". I am currently a full time student so don't expect hundreds of updates every single day. I will update and report how my tests subjects are doing + how many tutorials of new boston I have watched. If I'll be perseverant enough , I will create something that doesn't slim ordinary american's wallet for no reason. For those of you who like to see daily earnings with every update - I'm afraid that this thread ain't gonna be about stackin' em hard. I'm not saying ,of course , that success is not what I'm trying to achieve, but you got to understand that reality of IM is different and so far I've been nothing more than a perfect example of rather mediocre IM'er. Success is just around the corner right ? That corner is so FUCKING HUGE... Back to grinding!
