I really never thought I would need to ask this on BHW. I truly thought I was going to find it eventually, but after countless hours wasted researching the internet I´m still clueless.

Ⓗⓞⓦ ⓣⓗⓔ Ⓕ***Ⓚ CAN YOU WRITE A LINE BREAK, OR NEW PARAGRAPH, !ANY KIND OF GAP!, IN A FACEBOOK PHOTO ALBUM DESCRIPTION?

Needless to say, I´m not a FB newbie. This is one of the only marketing areas where I humble consider myself quite literate.
I´m supposed to understand the damned API really well, and I have managed to get line breaks in the description on any of the viral apps I´ve used by pure html (which should be supposed to be far more difficult).

The thing is that after researching for days, the only places left for searching on the internet are BHW and the Tor Network, and this is much closer and "cleaner".

I will really appreciate some help on this one.

Please, "clever" ones, in case you post something like SHIFT + ENTER you will be permanently banned from BHW ;-)

Sorry guys, none of the above mentioned works. Neither does any of the html expressions valid for FB notes.

I can´t believe there is no way we can place our fucking link (for instance) with a goddamn line break.

I havent seen anything to achieve a line break in their API documentation. I have used FB API, and well, what I did was arranging the description text with symbols and stuffs so that they usually come as a new line.

Well, wait, Album description? Will that give you that much exposure? And hey, work careful, or you are going to get your apps busted. I have had this happen to me when my app was just getting viral.

I knew that someone with a complete lack of sense of humor would arise with some stupid question like yours.
Don´t you see the smily at the end? Do you understand what "sarcasm" means?

Seriously, you and Sprouts must be really boring guys if you don´t even catch such an obvious joke.

This sentence comes from someone who is willing to add negative reputation points for no reason.

This is the statement he added as a reason for the negative reputation (it was given once I said that didn´t get the meaning of sarcasm):

Well, thanks for being of such help. I will not waste my time researching your posts in order to check if your only behavior on BHW is spreading shit around. But seriously, why don´t you make something useful with your life and head to a bookshop. Yes, one of these places full of books, ask the person in charge for anything from P.G. Woodehouse, you may then learn what sarcasm is. You could even become a funny guy who doesn´t waste his time pissing someone off.

Now back to the thread question. In fact, after getting in touch with some guy who worked for Facebook, it seems like the only one who was right is Adotsri:

That is the only damn way to give some formatting to your text in the descriptions.

It isnt Notepad thats doing the work here, but probably how you keep the description in the file itself.

Well, at least you know that irony is. But you know that way doesn´t work in the description text.

I just thanked you in order to see my name next to Treeofl1 as a peaceful gesture (Oh, so cool, you are blue, blue, supercool). It is really fun to see that you check the tread often, and you still didn´t come with some clever response to my statements. Only giving negative rep, and giving thanks to anyone who stands on me, is the best way to reinforce my belief that you still have to grow.

    What browser are you using?

Shift + enter DOES create a line break in Firefox and Chrome.

You are probably one of the most respected guys in BHW regarding Facebook issues, and I must admit that I´ve always subscribed to most of your threads as I know I can learn lots from you.
Nevertheless, in this task, which should be supposed to be a simple one, I am afraid there is no way to insert a line break in a photo album description by using Shift + Enter.

None of the other tricks I´ve researched for days on the internet seem to work either.
I´ve tried every possible html, certain tricks like the previously suggested /n, /r /n, or more peculiar ones like &nbsp, <center></center>, etc...

Sometimes the copy and paste from notepad with the formatted text may work, but it depends on the length of the link.

As I expected, once more, you are right. It is only on the first screen where the edit capability is disabled. Cheers for taking the time to clear this out.
I don´t know If you would mind if I asked you a question @g-s-t:
During the last few days I have noticed that FB has disabled also the @@[1:[0:1:text]] and related tricks in the facebook pages status. Do you know if there are any like those already working?

EDIT: Apparently it is better if I code the command... I was going to disable the smilies, but I´m still laughing... that is really the weirdest smily I´ve ever seen. The full code is as follows:
    Code:
    @@[1:[0:1:swing]]
Few of whom? I can understand some misunderstanding when sarcasm is involved in moral, ethic, religious...well, in any kind of boring matters. (You see, some more sarcasm, hope I did not offend anyone). But when it comes to my statement, placed next to a silly smily (just to make things even more clear) if someone gets offended, it is he/she who should keep that problem for him/herself, as this reveals that the person still have a long way ahead. In order to grow, to mature, you also have to learn not to take yourself too much seriously, and above all, not to trust your brain that much. It is just a tool, with too much power (but if you get blue or some other fancy color you may even over trust your tool :).
