In this thread, there was already one user describing his experience with a 301-redirection, after his site's got hit by Penguin: 301in out penguin - my experience I already made a post there, this one: Basically, I went ahead and took one site that got hit by a penalty very bad. This site had a lot of keyword links, which didn't left a natural anchor link profile. This was definitely the reason for the loss in rankings. So I registered a new domain, using the keyword directly in the domain name. I went ahead and put a good 1.000 word article on the first page, with ~10+ links to authority site's from the niche, aswell. Today I checked the rankings, and I saw the site sitting in position 5# for the main term! The term has only around 4.000 exact searches, but the AdWords PPC is like 3-4€. What happened here now? I think the trick could be, that I have put the most used keyword-link in the domain name. This way, the links aren't anymore keyword link's, but rather BRAND link's. That's it, take want you want from this experience, test & profit.
