Transferring ETH from Exodus to Metamask

And what would be the fee to send like $500 worth of ETH from Exodus to Metamask. How can I know?

If I have ETH on Exodus and send some of it to Metamask, if either of the wallets gets hacked or whatever, I'll only lose the ETH in the hacked wallet.

If I import the private key from Exodus to Metamask, if either of the wallets gets hacked I lose all my ETH.

I like Exodus, I'll keep using it.

This makes no sense to me. I hate it when things don't make sense. But I may be able to not kill myself due to the differences being so tiny

Can anyone explain what happened?

I sent 0.0866908 from Exodus and you can see in the screenshot Exodus says there's a 0.0029610 fee. This would make it so that I receive 0.0837298. However Exodus says it's the "Max network fee," so it can be lower. And then I don't know if Metamask would charge me anything to receive the ETH.

In any case, sending 0.0866908 and receiving 0.086691 doesn't make sense and I hate it!

I would hazard a guess that during the time it took you to do that first screenshot the ETH/USD rate changed. Then by the time you clicked Send your $400 was slightly more ETH.

Look the transaction hash up on etherscan you will probably see that you actually sent the higher amount.

if for example you send to BEP20 token to ETH wallet you will still have it.
Wallets provide graphics - blockchain provide data. so if you're panic not seeing specific token, just scan your address on BSCScan or etherscan.

If your Metamask is not connected to the BSC Network then you won't see BEP20 tokens on wallet itself but they are still on the wallet if you sent them. the private key is the wallet. wallet UI means nothing.

By deafult you're connected to Ethereum mainnet. but you can add custom RPC server and load BSC chain.
Any ETH address that start with 0X is supported by BSC

BEP20 is the same protocol as ETH. Just different Network connected.
