    Hi,

I just benchmarked the free Traffic Travis against Market Samurai. Well, I just tested their SEO competition capability. Check out the video:

Appreciate you taking the time to make this video, but any serious marketer knows that MS kicks TT's ass.

MS is one of the most powerful keyword/market research tools available right now.

Yea I know, I've been using MS sometimes too. Just wanted to let people know that they can do their accurate keyword research with free software as well.

Thanks for the vid. I'm new to the game and looking for a good keyword tool to start with. There are just TOO many to sort through, and it's going to take me a while to do the research and comparison. Luckily there are a lot of threads out there :)

Yukinari, what do you like best about MS that makes it stand out from the rest?

MS has got a whole lot more of features- Content Finder and Backlink finder for example. But quite frankly, it sucks at keyword research. If you wanna buy a keyword research product, I would recommend Micro Niche Finder or Keyword Elite. They're are pretty much faster than MS.

I have to disagree with you on this. Market Samurai is not only one of the most accurate keyword tools out there, it makes KW research so much easier and effective.

Example, I found a 2 word keyword phrase that is laser targeted for buyers within a hot niche. I ran a quick adwords test to verify the traffic amount and it was very close to what MS estimated.

The best thing is there is literally no competition for this keyword. All the sites ranking for it were easily beaten out.

Found this KW in about 10 mins, and I have replicated the process across every niche I go into and the results are almost always the same.

By the way, I didn't mean to come off like I was slamming your vid. I think it was very helpful and a great thing to share. It's always good for people to know their options.

I used to use TT myself, but after MS, I could never go back.

MS is very accurate for sure but the idea of opening a new tab for a each keyword really freaks me out :yell:. But anyway, you're right-MS can dig gold for you sometimes :)

I use a combination of tools to cross check on each platform and compare the results, when keyword mining I would not leave the job to just one program. There's nothing wrong with drilling down data and comparing the results from different platforms and then intelligently selecting the best keyword(S) based on data that you've mined from several different programs.

When digging for gold, alternating shovels gives you a chance to see beyond the hole that your digging in.

Wonderful post. I also sometimes use MS to dig some niches. But it seems lot easier to use MNF than MS. Yukinari, what do you think about MNF? Did you ever use it and how the accuracy of this software? Thanks.

The data between the two tools will be the same. They both use Google keyword tools to generate the search quanities. The SEOC is also the same.

MS does allow for easier keyword research due to its ability to dig through a list of keywords to generate more. It can be done using the Google Keyword Tool and Traffic Travis with the same results, just not as simply.

Competition analysis is pretty much identical between the 2.

For people on a budget, you can use the MS keyword research tool (free) with the SEOC of Traffic Travis - free.

MS does have its flaws, mainly due to the interface. It is sluggish cycling through your keyword tabs when some keywords contain many results. That tabs also don't slide across properly once there are too many tabs open. It is also a bitch to move from the far right tab to the far left.

I have both, I used to use TT but after a while, I decided to switch to MS.

It offers me a more accurate results, and other cool features like auto publishing.

    MS is a great tool:D

I have tested both side by side, and then tested their results with Adwords. MS has always been more accurate.

You also get much more data and versatility with MS and all it's new modules and functions.

I'm not sure about the bugs since I have never had a problem. It always runs fast on my machine.

TT is good for beginners, but if you are serious and have the money, MS is much better in my opinion.

I've never done Spanish keyword research myself, but it should be just as good as for English.

Just select "Spanish" when you set up a project, and instead of getting English keyword data and suggestions from Google you'll get Spanish keyword data and suggestions - also direct from Google.
