    Hi,

I have a site which could do with a boost in the serps.

If I go and purchase some traffic - say 30,000 hits over a month - will this give me a serp booster?

Currently - at number 7 - my site gets around 8 clicks a day - at number 1 its about 60

    Cheers

No, I've not seen any evidence to suggest that more traffic = better rankings. For starters, Google wouldnt be able to determine how much traffic your site is getting since it wouldnt be coming from the search engine.

Personally I would spend that money on a link building service instead.

if you have google analytics's then the Big G know's who what where entered your site. I think hits per day definitely have an effect on the SERPS

The more traffic the better. It will get you indexed fairly quick if anything.

    my posts keep disappearing!!!!!

    I said

Yes - with google - they get the info from the toolbar about site traffic levels. So as a % of total users have the toolbar - then they can estimate total traffic levels.
If total traffic minus traffic sent by them is > than a certain level - they may feel like boosting rank.

    Thats my theory anyways :)
