Traffic from Torrents [Method]

I had an idea to get traffic from torrents and I'm sure it's already been thought of and people are doing it so just indulge with me for a moment. I was checking out torrent threads and noticed that when anyone posted about password protecting a torrent it would get deleted from the trackers within minutes/hours.

What if instead of password protecting it, you just didn't provide all the content. I'm thinking in context of ebooks. For example just download something from BHW and only upload half of it. Then put something like "Want to know the rest of the story? Go to myebooksite.com/specialebookfrombhw" That link takes them to a sales page with a download button with a CPA lock. You could use your own script or PPD button w/e.

It would drive traffic to your website and you could possibly capture an email for list building. The quality of the file would be questionable so I don't know if it would get deleted or not. Maybe if you labeled it as a preview or ebook teaser.

I suspect some of the content would be copyrighted. Where could you host a large volume of ebooks etc. other than file sharing sites or dropbox?

Just trying to brainstorm ideas to get something going. Thanks for your help guys.

a torrent client to upload half data on site
win rar to split the file
an offshore hosting to host details/links of rest content
1-2 month time to collect data and analyze demand for same

What if : it was a complete game with just one " .dll " missing? It would involve some true SEO skill. Getting top google rank for : " (game title ) missing (file name ).dll error". Most people would just think they found a fix to their broken game, and wouldn't even suspect anything. When TPB comments start complaining about the missing .dll , just apologize, and graciously offer them your link to fix it. You will actually look like the good guy, trying to make good by finding the "bug fix" to that game for them.

Better yet, since TPB is mostly hosting "stolen" games and apps that need patches or cracks to run, you could put that in a locker.
