I have noticed that my videos are still ranking high in google serps and they are receiving a lot of views...but the traffic from them (link in the description) to my website has dropped dramatically. I am not noticing any YT updates that might have caused this. Do you have any idea what might be the problem?

    Thanks.

Try to find the answer in Google Analytics which should be connected to your YouTube Channel. I noticed recent YT updates in comments.
It's possible they introduced other updates.

I've tried looking everywhere everything looks fine. I used to receive ~20 visits from 300-350 views the video generated and now I only receive 1-3 visits from 350+ views. That is very strange and I don't see a reason for it.

Probably becouse more and more people are viewing youtube via smartphones.
I think the % of people clicking on the link from PC and mobile devices are not the same. I think Its dramaticly low from mobile devices.

That is true, but I don't think that could have resulted in such dramatic changes over a very short period of time (~2 months).

This is driving me nuts...more than 1100 views and 2 visitors. I am not sure what is wrong. The quality of the video is A+ (made by professional actors), similar videos have been tested and they were bringing at least 50 visitors from the same views number. The source of the views is also the same - organic serps.

I think this is natural, Some times it Increased/ Decreased.

I am Daily Getting 700-1K Views & some day I am getting 50-100+ Traffic to My site. And Last Week I got only Few Traffics From YT.

50-100+ from 1k is normal. What is not normal are the numbers I am getting. These low numbers have been going on for weeks now.

Have you tried setting up a "card" on your video? YouTube just rolled out a nice little feature to increase clicks to your website. I recommend that you give that a try to see if you can boost your ctr.

Thanks, I am playing with this card feature now. I think youtube's feature to redirect the user to another video 10-15 seconds after the last one was finished could be hurting the traffic.

That autoplay feature after a video ends is the absolute worst thing YouTube has ever come up with. I don't see any benefit to it for anyone except YouTube. It is a nuisance for content creators as well as everyday viewers. Hopefully they will eventually get rid of it.

That is true. Over the years my strategy was to warm the traffic with the video, make them even warmer with the 200-250 words description and then direct them to the LP to make the sale. Now the process gets cut during the description reading period due to this crappy update.

I have made some edits to the description (put the link in the first line of it) even though it's not making too much sense content-wise for the viewer I hope it will bring at least some part of the traffic back.
