    Hey,
some time ago I started working on two new projects one of them has 9,900 exact searches according to google`s keyword tool and it is a pretty good kw according to the method I learned here:http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackh...ethod-step-step-keyword-research-newbies.html

Now I am reading that it is not reliable and I should trust only the traffic estimator which shows that my keyword has no searches. What`s the deal?

the guide IamNRE talked about is spot on. follow that. you wont get exact search amount. all results are estimate / averages. take a look at google insight as well ! and also the trend.

Well it is fine if it is averages as you said. One on my kw has 9.900 exact searches with reference to the keyword tool. So It would be perfectly fine if it is really 6 or 7k...what makes me feel lost is that the traffic estimator shows a little "-" when I ckeck it.

The other kw - 1.6k exact, it is fine if it is really 1.2 or a similar number, but the traffic estimator tool shows none again.

Google trends say that my 9,900 kw has a search volume index of 6.00 - that`s ok?

Well i am not sure what "-" is that.

    Code:
    http://www.google.com/insights/search/
Go there enter your keyword and select last 12 months or 90 days, you will get estimate search by days and scroll below you wil find the countries they coming from.
    cheers

    "-" means none IMHO.

insights/search/ shows that my keyword had a popularity of 100 in January and 92 on Monday. I still don`t understand what that hundred means.

Also a little bit confused by that. Can I see estimate searches for each day with google insights? not values from 0 to 100%, just the estimate of searches.
