I was doing some reporting for a client of mine and and was putting together the traffic numbers for a keyword I suggested to rank.
SEMrush: 2400 monthly phrase match searches
Google Keyword Tool: 4400 searches a month
I dont really know why there numbers are different, but I tend to trust SEMrush more than G keyword tool
So anyways, the page was on #4 for the keyword and as soon as it jumped to #2 we had an increase of over 800% in traffic. :yield: Its only been a 3 days at the 2 spot, but compared to last months 3 clicks to this months 29 clicks so far that is a very large increase in traffic. If #1 is suppose to get over 80% of the clicks, imagine the percentage of traffic increase.
