This is a strange one. for the past 6 months or so i have been getting visits from traffic exchange websites which are showing in analytics as "referring sites". some of the examples are:

    bbclicks.com
    stellerhits.com
    first5hitz.com
    smileytraffic.com
    island-hits.com
    jrockhitz.com

its as if someone has an account and using my web address? its annoying as it is junk traffic and uses my bandwidth for the web host.

anyone have any idea how i can get this removed? its from a total of around 30 sites and average around 120 visits per day.

    thanks,

    mike

You can use .htaccess to block visitors from certain I.P addresses and website domains from accessing your site's web pages. Here is a couple of snippets taken from
    Code:

Also if you want to block certain I.P addresses from visiting pages on your website:

    Hope this helps :).

If you have ever bought website visitors it is a possibility some of the vendors have your site's on traffic exchange sites like the ones you listed. Am not 100% sure but it could be a possibility. The only thing I use traffic exchange sites for is to boost my site's Alexa ranking.
