traffic/click generator?

I'm looking for something to generate traffic/clicks with. I'm not looking to use this with google or any other money-making scheme - I am generating traffic/clicks to my own site.

The closest thing I've found is Tukanas Hits Generator, it works fine as far as generating traffic if you provide it with a decent proxy list, but the referrer part doesn't seem to work, it always just says "referrer: - "

Are there any similar programs that successfully simulate traffic using the referrer that you provide?

Is it real traffic though? I'm not looking for real traffic, just something that simulates it.
