I know ive read all over the place that using a trademarked EMD is a big no no, but I have a dilema.... I used a service on here to have some MNS built for me when I very first started, and one of those sites happened to be an EMD. Its actually my best site right now ( Got me $3.49 so far today) I realize thats like no gain, but being new any gain is a win for me. My question is, am I risking my Adsense account, or just risk needing to close my site if the trademarked company catches on? This really stinks, I should have spoke up in the beginning instead of letting him build the site, I was new and assumed he knew what he was doing....

You risk that you must close your site and all work is for less. Think you put energy and money in it for some years. then you have to close it and you have nothing again. I have one brandname EMD too. But I never never want another one. The risk that you waste your time for it is to big in my opinion

    cheers

If thats the only risk then ill just deal with it, honestly I only paid like $25 for the site (4 sites for $97) and only put about $10 into ranking it so far. So I only need to make $35 to be in the green on it, and even ranking 11th in google 24 in bing, 25 in yahoo its still gotten 3 hits in the last 2 days. Not sure if I should put more money into it, raising the risk of loss, or just let it sit how it is and earn

Yeah, I would just run with it as long as you can. I'm in the same situation and will be doing the same thing.

For that little money, you should be okay. At most they will probably send you a C&D, and you can take it down. If you were making thousands and thousands, you risk legal action, as they want that money you made. I don't use adwords, but I dont' think it would have an affect on that.

I am pretty much in the same boat, I have a EMD that has about 3k exact local searches and hardly any competition. something similar to "applemightymouse" I could easily monetize it with amazon / adsense and make some pretty good money. Can't decide if I want to take the risk or not.

Some other guy has the same trademark in his name but for a different product and its been around for a year now, so im wondering if I could keep under the radar like him :p

I am also wondering if my adsense / amazon account could get banned for this?

I recently had to delete one of my sites with a brand name EMD because of a demand from the brand owners. but overall it did pretty fine when it was up and made some money. I don't see why there should be a problem with adsense or amazon as long as the content itself is original. in my opinion if it makes some money just leave it until you are asked to delete it.
