Those of you who own websites, remember it's important to track all of your data from a DNS level. Conversion tracking with Google Analytics & Facebook's ads interfaces are very important as well, but to track all requests from your domain to your server you need to be tracking from a DNS level. You can easily provide yourself and team with an overwhelming amount of data to utilize when further optimizing your marketing campaigns. Whether you're managing a single site or hundreds, be sure to track as much data as possible, even if you think you have no use for it -> I promise you it will come in handy as you're expanding.

How users are engaging with your content is also very important, in this case you can see how our website is drawing attention to specific pages. Be specific when targeting your niche and desired keywords with any marketing campaigns, keep all of your pages on your sites relevant to what you're targeting. Make your visitors feel like they can find value from your content and the links will come. Know your target audience and know how they are searching for what you have to offer. It's simple when you think about it: location, location, location.

Where are your visitors coming from? VERY important question to be answered before investing further into your marketing channels. Which outlets are users resorting to when searching for what you have to offer? What devices are they using and on what platforms? Can my website deliver content to those users efficiently? DO NOT let your investments go to waste.

Create new audiences in these convenient interfaces, reveal where your target audience are looking. I am going to say it again LOCATION!

Knowing the locations of your target audience and evaluating the market share from their origin countries, you can easily calculate your cost and estimated returns from investing in any online marketing campaigns. Data is KEY!

Some food for thought, remember everyone -> Work SMARTER, not HARDER! No need to re-invent the wheel, work with the industry leaders who are doing it best, learn from them best.

It's all about that data man... In every aspect of marketing you should always be recording that data, it will help you understand what your traffic is doing allowing you to tweak and optimise to suit their needs and of course your conversion rate!

Thanks for the post. I've been thinking recently about the importance of collecting good data in internet marketing. I think that being able to collect and interpret data is crucial to the success of anything.
