Is this already a concept? if so, link me to that thread/topic plz.

    What am I talking bout>?
Creating a site/networkofsites that will bring down the pagerank of anyone it backlinks to.

Like, I read somewhere that if you use certain blackhat techniques to promote your (cross domain) site, Google will zing your cross domain site for being associated with the blackhat advertising. So how would I go about using this to my advantage? If I were to build a site to completely piss-off google (so I could backlink from it to hurt my competition), how would I go about it?

This is called negative SEO and has been talked about for quite some time...

Here's a tip though, don't waste your time trying to bring down someone else's business because while you are spending energy doing that they're likely spending that energy making a better product or service which is precisely what you should be doing.

Done - not because of his post, or because you asked, but for that bit about the legs and the arsehole, it made me laugh.

Well it's actually rather hard to build a site specifically to piss off Google without them punishing you for it. If you really want to diminish your competition you can only do so with backlinks from places Google doesn't like. I can't remember if Google ever got off the whole Adult themed website backlinks = -5 million PR or not but I'd guess a porno website backlink wouldn't do your competition any favors (or more accurately, a thousand of them).

In the end, though, this isn't very productive. It takes time to diminish your competition and for each one you put down another will pop up. Negative SEO isn't like Parasitic SEO (my own coined term for it, not giving away that little method to anyone though), you're not stealing your competitions backlinks and PR, you're just stabbing them. I don't disprove of negative seo (like some people here...it's a black hat seo forum...) but I think that what you're thinking of is pointless in the end. You'll still be your PR, you'll still be your SERP and there's no reason Google would magically give you your competition's spot if someone else starts link building with high quality content like your competitors.

Another one for the "do not do business with" list.

Hey man. I agree. I think that if you can't rank for yourself you're in the wrong game, but wishing someone to die? That's a little tight man. Just use your blackhat skills. Grab his username, find is IP, find his address, find his mothers name, go back in time and terminate her before he's even born!! :)

Are we STILL talking about this?

Pure neg SEO - while it does seem to exist - has not been proven to have anything more than a short term effect on decent sites - and in some cases boosts them thanks to the integration of trust factors and the use of "DRT" and "ERT" which Google have been using since July 2012.

That amount of time and effort would be best used instead 50% adding content and 50% creating good links to your own site.
