OK I've got my site flying in the rankings, I've got my daily uniques going right up. But not enough are buying.

i think the problem is my site. it's a year old, but looks and operates straight out of 1999 (when I learnt web design)

What i need is a complete site redesign - front and back end.

We sell tours, cruises and accommodation - I don't really like "shopping carts" as an ecommerce soloution, so want another way, but want it database driven

the current site runs to about 200 or so pages, but I'll fill in the pages. I just need something that is easily updated and easy to add new products etc.

I've had some stupid quotes from some local designers, so no more of those please. Nothing Wp based either

Anyone serious PM me and I'll give you the current site and a few examples of some similar sites.

I have built many websites in Joomla and i can tell you that you can find many solutions/extensions and even bridges to external scripts etc. I dont offer any service here but i would advice you to check a solution in Joomla. For booking extensions check Jomres. Its a bit expensive but its really really flexible. The first licence costs 180 pounds and you have support and upgrades for 3months. For lifetime support its 1000pounds. Maybe send them an email to go for the first package and then potentially upgrade if you make the money you are looking for. Apart from that, dont search for cracked versions !The installation is done from their servers and the amazingly big majority of the cracked versions are crap and you will just waste time.

There are other simpler and cheaper solutions too. Go to
    Code:
    http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions/vertical-markets/booking-a-reservations/booking
and check them out. You might also hire someone to develop something but that might cost more.

If you need anyone to introduce you to joomla tell me and i can help you.

I've looked at joomla before - I can't quite remember why I didn't like it, so I'll take a relook.
    thanks

But you want a top dollar design? Probably not the best words to use when you are needing services.

I was actually going to PM you on this, but after seeing that line, I just kinda chuckled and decided to reply instead.. and still kinda laughing about it.

OK probably not the best words - but I have received some truly laughable quotes from some local web designers.

And those were for some very SEO unfriendly designs as well.

I'll PM you the site and my top two competitors and you can have a look. (I might also edit the original post)
