Tor vs. Proxies - FB related

I've been doing a bunch of research on mass Facebook friend adding, and something that just came up is the idea of Tor vs. Proxies... Are they both not doing the same thing, hiding your IP?

I'd be working with approximately 200 accounts, and originally I was looking towards proxies, but after someone suggested the idea of Tor it got me thinking... Now I'm sure there's a reason people do prefer proxies over Tor, so if someone can enlighten me that would be awesome. Thanks.

I'd use Tor

No man there is a huge difference between hiding your IP with a traditional SOCKS/HTTP proxy and using Tor to surf anonymously. Tor is a great service, but when it comes to most big sites (like fb) it is not an effective IP solution.

Tor is already heavily abused, so most big sites will block (or flag/limit in someway) surfers who are using Tor. The makers of Tor provide webmasters with the ability to easily check if a surfer is using their service, and believe me, that shit won't fly on fb. Due to it's nature, Tor can't protect traffic from being monitored at the exit nodes (making it somewhat unsecure). Tor can be a complex and useful tool, but if you intend to use it you should really research how it works and what it's limitations are. Did I mention Tor is slow as fuck?

Private proxies on the other hand are harder to detect, and are much faster. If you want to make money use private proxies.
