I was on facebook w/ tor and got the message "Although this page is encrypted, the information you have entered is to be sent over an unencrypted connection and could easily be read by a third party.

Are you sure you want to continue sending this information?"
clicked continue does that make ip visible?

Not sure about IP being visible

But caution Facebook will know your IP so make sure anything you send is acceptable to Facebook otherwise the ban hammer may drop on you!

IP may not be visible... but your user/pass data is being sent over without encryption.... just simple text strings.
Anyone sniffing around your network can get your login credentials this way.

This is your answer I think. It is why you should use post instead of get when using a signup page.

    More information on:
    Code:
    http://www.w3schools.com/tags/att_form_method.asp
In short: Don't worry about it if you are not sending information you care about like a temp account.

I used to think I was reasonably safe by locking my host file and registry file but since windows has a VM and I have full access to their software, I think you might be on to something there...
Thanks for teaching me something. :)

Nope, no bump. Just read the link I posted before.

This is JavaScript. If you are sending "sensitive" information by appending it to the URL you get this message.
    It really is that simple.

    Please stop bumping now?
    Please?
    Thanks!
