    Hi,

I'm trying to rank for a 4 word keyword search term. After about 4-5 months of mainly BH seo, I'm in the top ten for yahoo and bing for my main keyword.

Things I've done is: creation of a fairly basic link pyramid (with about 150 2.0 web properties arranged in 2 tiers). Quite a few high PR/edu blog links manually, hundreds of forum profiles as well as links from wikipedia/yahoo/answers. I've also blasted all/most of the above with scrapebox for some time.

My problem is with google. For the main keyword the highest I ever ranked was about 99, and that too was very briefly. After the algorthm update, I'm ranked outside the top 1,000 for virtually all of my keywords. Even the ones that should be very very easy to rank for, I'm about 100-200.

What am I doing wrong? I'm aware of the "google dance", but I've been out of the top 1,000 for a month now...surely that's not the google dance.

Are you sure you haven't been de-indexed? Are your keywords in your url? Makes a hell of a difference on bing and yahoo!

My keywords aren't in the domain name...as it's a company URL. But they are in the URL.

    For example, www.mydomain.com/blog/keywords

I'm sure I've not been deindexed. If I search for my url it shows up as the first result. It also appears in the top 400-500 for some very easy to rank keywords.
