So I noticed Neverblue pulled out the stops for it's top affiliates and sent 'em on a trip to Costa Rica. (I've seen this done quit often with other companies for their top sales guys.) Here's the Neverblue blog and video about it:

OK, I know the top affiliates aren't making that kind of money with e-whoring and cookie stuffing. Where's the big money at and what is the preferred method of getting that kind of traffic?

I'm on Neverblue and I know what they have for products. You can't make the big money with $1 zip submits, right? (or can you?)

These guys must be in control of some serious traffic. Mostly email lists? Are they spending shit piles of dough on adword buys?

Which direction should I be heading in if I want to slowly build that kind of income? I'm making money with Adsense, but I don't think Google will be sending me to Costa Rica. :p

They are probably a combination of PPC, PPV and Media buys with large teams behind them probably promoting rebills and similar

They are also probably throwing $1000 into to make maybe $250? Which doesn't seem like a lot of profit, but when they throw $100,000, then they'll get $25,000 return, nice profit margin if you ask me. :)

Some of the younger guys get 1000s of email submits a day/week using myspace whore trains.

Basically if you have like 100,000 + friends you can get into an aim group of other people who have a lot of friends. You guys set up a landing page with a add me buttons, repost, and click here for "500 extra friends" the 500 extra friends is fake and they tell you to submit your email. When they submit there email they are actually filling out a email submit offer. After the page is set up they post about this landing page every 5 minutes and it goes viral. Its a method that still works today. In the past when I use to be into myspace I have made $1300 in 4 hours from email submits. On a larger scale and posting it more often you can probably make $10,000+ a day. I am sure others use more legit traffics and invest a lot of money to get traffic to there landing pages.

Thanks for the share, very interesting. I would be worried about the network getting pissed about the incentived traffic. But I guess you can look for incentivized offers.

You can hide your refer :D or you can redirect the traffic to a landing page that looks legit. They wont know the difference. If they did why am I not banned? There is always a way around it. Give it some thought and you will figure something out.

I am also sure some of these people make viral Facebook fan pages. I am actually currently working on one. My method is definitely one of the best and I am hoping to make 5 figures from it a month.

So it's all about doing "tricky" methods and hustling? Paying big money for PPC, PPV and Media buys makes sense and I know it can be done if you know what your doing and have the money behind you.

I always imagined owning big authority sites which you can control the banners would be a way, or is that too passive and you need to be more "pushy" about your offers? (like email campaigns)

I can't see how you can blank a referrer and send 100,000 people from Facebook to fill something out under a false pretense wouldn't be noticed by Neverblue.

It is not always about being tricky. If you have several large popular authority sites or even large targeted forums you can make that type of money. Use some banners, ads, and send emails to your members and there shouldn't be a problem making a good amount of $$$$.
