A virtual private network (VPN) service is an effective online privacy solution. The benefits of using this type of service range from sending and receiving email and using social networking sites safely and securely to allowing individuals to privately browse from their home, work, or school computers or mobile devices. To be clearer about how a VPN Connection can help you, here is a list of the top five reasons to use one.

Just a newbie, but learning and thought I'd share what I'd just learnt. Never realised for instance its almost essential to use a VPN in wifi hotspots!

    1. Protect your information from hackers and identity thieves.
As computers become more integrated into people?s daily lives, individuals turn to them to store some of their most important personal information. Unfortunately, the digital age brings along security threats to this online data. Therefore, it is important for Internet users to tap into their common sense when it comes to staying protected. The most effective way to keep your data from entering the wrong hands is by using a VPN service which makes all Internet use totally private and secure.
    2. Hide your IP address for total anonymity.
Some people do not realize the IP address connected to their desktop computer, laptop, or any other mobile device, keeps track of their Internet traffic to some extent. Believe it or not, there is a lot of information a person or company can learn about you just through your IP address, including your general whereabouts. Many people view this as an inherent invasion of privacy that they would like to put an end to ? these people are in luck because a VPN connection is all it takes for you to hide your IP.
    3. Bypass Internet censorship restrictions.
Some countries put up firewalls to restrict what their residents see, hear, and share with other people within and beyond their borders. This type of censorship is highly controversial because many people believe as citizens of the world we all have the right to the same information. Whether you live in one of these countries or you are simply visiting one for personal or professional reasons, you may want to use a VPN service that bypasses these Internet restrictions for completely unrestricted online access.
    4. Use Wi-Fi hotspots securely.
WiFi hotspots have become a convenient part of our everyday lives. They offer us a way to stay connected to the Internet in some of the most unlikely places. When it comes to technology, sometimes we have to take the bad with the good; in this case, privacy concerns are the biggest problem with public WiFi connections. Using a VPN service for securing these connections is an effective way to use the Internet on-the-go with total confidence and peace of mind. The VPN turns any Wi-Fi hotspot into an encrypted and firewalled link for your computer or phone.
    5. Privacy for what you browse.
Web browsers 'Privacy Modes' only delete information from the computer itself. They do not prevent the websites that you're browsing from being detected and logged by your ISP, your neighbors in some cases, and your mobile phone service providers. Using a VPN Service changes the game. It encrypts the websites that you're browsing, keeping your Internet use truly private.

You actually need a private unused fresh proxy. I use it without problems. I can recommend where to get them if thats what you need.
