Ok So im a noob. and so far it seems as though the main tools Are article submitters, spinners and social bookmarking tools. What other tools are vital? what are your top 5 tools , or what are your only tools. Blackhat or whitehat doesnt matter. How do we tell when a tool or method is black hat or white hat even?

    Cheers!

3 years have passed, and you still label yourself a noob? What have you been doing, living in a cave?

To answer your question, this has been asked MANY times before. Best thing to do is to use the search field to your left, to find threads similar to this.

    Good luck...noob.

Smarty Mcpants, i registered here 3 years ago yes, for what i dont remember. Heres some inside information. Ive owned domains and websites and made money from them since i was about 12/13. Ive never made any one of them, in fact i thought myself HTML early on and never applied it. SEO i know what it is and understand the concepts etc but never did i get hands on. 3 years ago i most likely signed up here to have a better understanding of things i was paying people to do so i could monitor them. Im a producer and songwriter working in LA i dont get a lot of time for this stuff. But recently , i have a number of developments and one is something i wish to get hands on with for a number of reasons, one being to learn the other being research.

So yes me personally i am seo online marketing noob when it comes to hands on work with the tools. When it comes to devising plans etc for viral marketing well they say i have a natural ingenuity for that. probably all my years as a record executive ;) .. However, i am no noob to forums. The search function is a beautiful feature isnt it? But one of the first things i learned about SEO in the past few weeks is this, the tools and techniques change rapidly. Therefore my search results yielded old outdated results. Next time i advise you to skip on to the next thread where you can offer something of value, some constructive, informative advice. Not straight up poo. Good day Mr Roids.

Panther, this is what i hear so far, joint in first or maybe trailing behind in forum popularity is the best spinner, i had some people swear by the content professor too?

    cheers!

    +1 for this.

Content is key nowadays. Quality web 2.0 articles (hand made).

I only use tools for tier 2 and 3 backlinks (assuming my tier 1 links are pointing to money site).

But I like Scrapebox and Magic Submitter. Two very good softwares

"Tools" are not the answer to ranking, they're just tools. You can't walk up to a guy in Home Depot and say, "What are the best tools?" He will need to know what project you're working on.

Are you spinning content? Scraping websites? Building links?

I guess white/black/grey hat - it really depends on how you are using them.

For tier one links I mostly use my own blogs - got lots of them and decent tool to manage.

As for lower tiers, Senuke used to be #1 for a long time but lately I have replaced it with GSA - getting more out of it.

Keyword Mapper Pro is definitely fantastic purchase just for 17$ - gives you very nice way to scrape relevant keywords.

Socialaddr is decent if you need social signals.

Of course I have scrapebox but I use it mostly for utilities and not for creating links.

That's about it as far as my tool inventory goes.

First, as other members says above content is the king, then in link building try to built the web 2.0s with unique and quality content, social signals, articles submission in high PR directories, niche relevant blogs comments and niche forum posting are the methods which are most popular in today's market of SEO.

Of course you need skills, but tools are exactly that. Its a tool to utilize your skills to make your life easier. That being said, i'm tired of these threads as there's already others asking the same thing.

The essential tool is ScrapeBox. Just watch tutorials and read about it before you buy it

To succeed, the first steps you need are: knowledge, experience and good strategy. First learn seo (a lot of good ebooks are out there), strategise and apply what you learn to action, pick the strategy that works. Finally, get a tool that fit your strategy. You can never be disappointed.

Do not mind people telling you that you do not need tools. Even seo professionals use it (But you must know what you are doing). Make sure that no tool comes near your tier 1. If you must use it in tier 1, use UD if you know how to use it.

Avoid tools with recurring payment. I can assure you that they do not worth the expences if you know what you are doing.

    I use:
    Scrapebox
    UD
    GSA
    GSA indexer
    SerpAttack
    WAC
    AMR
    Captcher Sniper

poola, what's the use of scrapebox today aside from utilities - scraping links/etc... are you still using it to post stuff?

I cannot advise you to use it to post stuff unless you want to blast tier 3 0r 4 with scrapebox AA list just for quick indexing. I use scrapebox mainly for what you already mentioned besides, I also use two of their premium addons for rank tracking and automation.
