    Hi All,

Yeah, iam just a newbee in the BHS and i have to learn a lot.

What did i do untill now: Wel my website is in the top 10 in google now for 2 weeks. But it stucks on position 6, i can not make it to the top 3. The website is 3 months old now and has more backlinks than the number 1 site in google on the same keyword. The keyword is verry easy only 1600 searches in a month. Keyword is "led spots" and it is a Dutch website on a .nl

So this newbee has his site on position number 6 but want i want is the number one position.

The quistion to all of you is, how to get it higher in google, i tried everthing, but remember iam in the seo just for 3 months i have to learn a lot.

All helpfull comments are more then welcom.

    Regards
    Martin

Try focusing on on-site optimization now, rather than links. Make sure your on-page and technical shit is on point. (Technical = page load time, site structure, canonicalization, 404s/301s, etc - Onsite = keyword use, image opt, dupe content, etc.). Also you may have more links that #1, but maybe #1's links are higher quality than yours. Domain age could also be an issue. There's lots of things that can affect who gets the top spot.

Hi Politico, thanks for you quick response. My links are better than the nr one, also in pagerank etc. One difference is the domain age, and the number one has dmoz rank and my site not. I did a technical check and it seems to be ok, i checked it with website auditor. Iam not sure about the keyword use and i think i have to ad more content. Thanks for the advice i will stop now with linkbuilding. And focus on on page seo. What is best to wait a view weeks and see or i climbs in google?

Thanks again for taking your time for me.

    Regards

Gonna be tough to compete with a dmoz listed site that has age behind it. But if you can grab the #2 spot and have a more enticing title/description, you can take a lot of the traffic.

Thanks, if i have the nr 2 pos i have enough traffic to make some money and can focus on more keywords. One day i will get my dmoz ranking and i will get the number 1 position. And then the real money flows in :) And, it is not all about the money, i just want learn everything about SEO and it give's me a lot of fun and pleasure (and sleepless nights when my site drops some positions)

I started with easy keyword, it is my first site and iam really new in seo. If i have the number one i will go for the top keywords. My dream is the get the number one on keyword "led verlichting" 15.000 exact searches a month in the Netherlands.

    Hello
it shouldnt be that difficult with 2.840.000 results, i reached 3rd spot for a keyword giving over 7.000.000 results just doing a gig thru fiverr, i guy named "crorkservice" the gig was "spin and submit your article to 7450 Directories, Get 500+ Google Backlinks + Ping"
Not only one of my keywords ranked good after his service but many more, but this didnt last long, after 3 weeks my rankings dropped to second and thrid page.

I suggest you to have a look on my last thread...

But since your website is a .nl domain I recommend you to try to get a few backlinks from .nl domains too. Maybe blogs and forums.

First part off the story sounds very good, second part sounds bad :) I have no problem to spend some money to good service, but my goal is to get in the top 3 of google with about total of 10 keywords. With 3 off them i want the number 1 position, but i want to hold the number one position and not lose it after a vew weeks. Did you get it back on the first page?

    • Position #3: 10.09% of all clicks
    • Position #4: 5.49% of all clicks
    • Position #5: 5.00% of all clicks
    • Position #6: 3.94% of all clicks
    • Position #7: 2.51% of all clicks
    • Position #8: 2.94% of all clicks
    • Position #9: 1.97% of all clicks
    • Position #10: 2.71% of all clicks

Do not use crorkservice from fiverr. his success rate is something like 10%. I know i used him for a couple of gigs then sussed him out. I He says "buy 10,000 blog comments or whatever blah blah blah but you only get around 10% live after a few days. thats why your rankings drop.

Other vendors links stick. do your research mate.

    Hi Arsis,

Thank for sheering the information. So when i did take a good look on you table, i see it better to have the #8 than the #7 position? That souds a littel strange to me.
