My designer is very good when it comes to the design, graphics and layout but the problem he usually has is the font being used. He has no idea what type of font is suited for the particular picture. As a result, I have to show him a picture of the font but we have no way to decipher the exact font being used.

Could anyone suggest anything like this?

I want to know the font used on "First Amerigo", "1. Apply now", "apply online with out simple..." and the pages (home, about, contact us etc).

This picture is found in the portfolio of OriginalExe's BST thread (I asked him but no reply yet), just in case you are wondering.

It is very easy though... You can make use of inspector of Google Chrome. All you have to do is visit the website and right click on what ever element you want to evaluate and then click "INSPECT ELEMENT" ... it will then show various text, all you need to do then is locate the part that you want to evaluate and click it, information would then be displayed on the right side of your screen including the font, size margin and etc.

No but it's not live. It's just a picture. What I meant was to know the font used for a non-live site.

there's no way to tell from a picture if they aren't using web fonts on the web page. My only suggestion would be goto font squirrel and look for a similar looking font.

doesn't matter. it looks like they are using images, not webfonts.

Glad Smartman sort it out :)

If you're using Firefox and wanted to know the font of some sites, use an addon named font finder. It will show up on the bottom of the browser, and click it and click the text. It will show the font, font size, color, default font used.

Hope this will be useful to you guys :)
