    Hey,

Im getting to the stage were its taking damn too long to keep track of all my articles and see which ones i need to get more backlinks for and also to find out what keyphrases they are ranking top for.

So there has to be some sort of tool that i just open click go and it will check them all for me and show the results.

I.e. you enter in the page url and the keyphrase and it will give you the results and keep a good log for you of changes and you can then look at competition etc etc etc

Like a really good excel file kinda thing that does the work for me once its all entered in

You can use Web CEO and the free edition can probably handle what you want.

SEO administrator - does exactly what you want. Can probably get it on bit torrent with a serial key as well to save you the $150. Searches can also be automated - you wouldn't even need to click go :p

    Code:
    http://tools.seobook.com/firefox/rank-checker/

This one works the same, there are some limitations, but the free version is still good.. Their both good in their own ways.
    Code:
    http://www.link-assistant.com/rank-tracker/

Doesn't seo books rank checker only check the ranking for a specific domain...not a specific URL?

Like it will tell you where "www.site.com" ranks for the search phrase "blackhat", but won't tell you where "www.site.com/blog/long-tail" ranks for the search phrase "blackhat".

At least I am guessing because it just kinda freezes up on me when I search for a rank using a specific url....

I am looking for a tool that lets me check where a specific url on my page ranks for a specific keyphrase....any tools discussed here or elsewhere that do that?

thats incorrect... you can either check like multiple keywords + your domain and it will find the pages on your domain that are ranking for those kw's, or you can just check one page for multiple keywords...

I understand that this works in some cases with rank checker, but I cannot for the life of me get it to work in some instances.

Example: I recently added a WP blog to a clients site - "www.clientssite.com/blog"

This blog is currently ranking number two on Google for a specific search phrase.

HOWEVER, when I input that search phrase and "clientssite.com" into rank checker, it does not show up? like it will only let me add "clientssite.com" and not "clientssite.com/blog", so I have no way to use the tool for this site with the blog?
