First off I'm just going to start by saying obviously I'm new here and i am loving the whole feel to this forum. From what i can see so far its full of extremely helpful members and mostly very intelligent people :)

Basically what this post is about is that i've been INTERESTED for a long itme now in how some people claim to make money online in large amounts, enough to actually quit their jobs. I'm 19 years old and lets just say i've been a bit of a flat out nerd since i was like 6. I've been able to touch type since 10 years old (no looking at the keyboard) and now i can type around 125/wpm (on a good day) so from what i've actually read so far here i may be in a very advantageous position for article re-writing or something along those lines. My only problem is that i REALLY don't know where to start...There's just TOO much here, too many strategies, too many tactics...Its mind boggling the amount of methods there are, and what's more frustrating to me is i keep seeing these 15 year olds journals who are making steady $20 a day from practically nothing.

I know essentially this post is just another "What do i do to make money?" thread but i like to think there's a little more to it than that lol...I know this gets asked daily, i know there are stickies that say "do this for xx money", but for someone who's actually never really looked into IM is there some sort of guide that i could read over to try and get my head around some of these methods and meanings - I'm getting bombarded with acronyms i've never heard of before and i think this may be one of the reasons im struggling to understand so much here haha, so i suppose it's more of a request for knowledge rather than a "TELL ME HOW I MAKE MONEY" thread :)

    EMD - exact match domain
    OP - original poster

There's a lot more, but those are the two I seem to find myself using. Welcome to the forum. Get ready to learn and, more importantly, earn.

Well I definitely came here with learning in mind - Earning is going to be the second part of the plan :) Thanks for the welcome :)

I've got most of the forum talk down, i was more referring to CPA, PPD, jesus i cant even think of them they just come out in every post lol.

In the last 3 days i've probably spent around 12 hours just reading on BHW alone lol

I feel exactly the same, 19 aswell..
People don't seem to spoon feed here, so its probably best to just find a recent tutorial, stick with it, learn the process and try get some coin..
Otherwise you probably won't get anything done, can't make music if you have a guitar but don't pull the strings, na mean?

I would just recommend you find a method that you feel you can succeed with and just go with it. There's no succeeding without doing. There are plenty of nooby friendly methods around here - you might start with the "Making Money" section of the forum.

Try not to bite off more than you can chew. Read a bunch of strategies then choose one you like and jump in with two feet. Take action and do it, instead of reading about it. Half doing it won't cut it. You could choose practically any method here and it will work as long as you put 100% effort into it.

Just start simple, simple methods can be very powerful. You're on the right track.

Couldn't agree more - I just like to have a strong background knowledge of what I'm going into before i get started. To use your guitar analogy i'd probably read 50 music books before i picked up my guitar :p It's probably a flawed method for me but either way it's just how i work lol.

But as you said people won't spoonfeed here so maybe i should just throw myself in the deep end and try and get started today. I've seen torrents work well for some SMALL starting cash so i'm thinking thats where ill head.

download - That's where i've had my head most of the time lol :)

chow - Thanks chow, will definitely keep that in mind.

The key is getting started and take action.

I have been in the same spot you were, information overload!
You could define my time starting out in internet marketing as
    paralysis by analysis.

Get out there and test, test, and find something that works and
then scale it. I also recommend sticking with your passions.
If you like some type of game or niche, go after it! You won't
get burned out as easily and likely enjoy the experience a whole lot more.

Hello and welcome to BHW. This is a big advantage you are able to type withouth looking at the keyboard with that speed. With that ability you can write or rewrite articles, you can also translate articles as well. On your place I would start with Fiverr. Once you get some monies, get yourself a hosting , emd domain with low competition keyword and start playing with backlinks.

Well , in the past it was always a problem for anyone to find information. Now, a lot of information out there :D:D .

Article re-writing actually is one of the most important tools in IM in my opinion.

You just need to search more until you find what u are comfortable with. Here is a small advice : Check the Stick Threads in every section. It will be more than enough to tell you what this section about. Find what you are comfortable with. Start Digging in this section till you have an idea . Take Action and learn from your mistakes. Finally, You are BHW member.

Good luck and hope to hear your success story SOON

    Brisbane mate!
Mate I would look at starting a website on a subject you know quite a bit about. Being able to type fast will help with knocking out quality content for it. If you can find an exact match domain for that subject with low competition you are on your way to a winner. From there you can start learning to backlink it. This is how my first steps into IM started and having a site with something I was passionate about helped me stay motivated to get it ranked well and earning some cash. Regardless of which path you head down in the world of IM I think the main thing is to just take action. Stick with something and find out if it works for you. Good luck to you mate!

Focus on one thing. Don't try to do too much. This sounds stupid, but inundating yourself with IM work can cause the opposite effects if you move too quickly.

Only the experienced can handle a bazillion niches/projects/etc at one time.

    Remember focus daniel san.

Enjoy that "new" fresh feeling while it lasts...after you read everything through it stops being so great, but nonetheless VERY helpful and informative.

I recommend CPA + Social traffic. Im 17 and i make 2k a month with it. Its a great place to start:)

Thanks a lot for that link imlol, very helpful stuff there. I'm having a lot of trouble finding a niche that's not overused already though, i thought that kind of thing would be fairly easy but it seems everything im passionate about is a popular hobby. I'm probably just not getting specific enough though.

I've spent all of today messing around with a sharecash account and some torrents with passworded files but after all my efforts my torrents are failing to upload so i think having as shitty internet as i do ill scratch that and move to something that isn't as bandwidth reliant. I know everyone says you need to stick at something and just do it to make it work but my bandwidth is slowing down the process immensely, ill leave it as a side project for when my IM can afford to buy me a better internet connection ;)

I'm a TERRIBLY indecisive person, i really need to throw that logic out the window and force myself to stick at something or i can see this will never work for me. Thanks for the advice everyone, i think the rest of today will be spent finding a method that i feel like i could stick with for a long period of time and have somewhat of a relevant interest :)

    Welcome to your new addiction.

It's good that you can type fast....
it would be better if you could read fast.

Read as much as you can digest.
    Research everything you read.
then decide what route you will take.
    keep a structured approach.
    Start two projects at most.
    One for long term money.
The other for short term money.
Stay focus and everyday work on your projects.
Do not be jumping from project to project.

    Good Luck.

Don't be surprised if you fail at first for a while...it happens. I failed for 3 years before making anything. It was so stressful and depressing I wanted to rage quit.

When it comes to "earnings" threads on BHW, there are two types of people: Those who get motivated by others earning and those who get frustrated and jealous. Try hard to be the first and not the latter. I always got frustrated and jealous and it never helped, it just made me feel like I was failing.

Whatever you do, DO NOT QUIT. I guruantee you will succeed if you do not quit. Make it up the hill and its an easy coast after that.

    Best of luck.
