Alright guys for the last 6 months I've followed and read as much about blogging/splogging as possible. I built 10 splogs (WP) on 10 year old domains and new, added CC, All n one seo, bla bla bla. I did put orignal content, but after a while I said fuck it. Google penilized some of the blogs and others they did not notice now for 6 months. And the blogs that did get penalized soon poured in traffic from Bing and yahoo. Odd?

At first the older domains rocketed with traffic and then leveled and after 4 months the new domains started to take off. I read a great article here "it's all about the backlinks" so I employed Peters link juice and I bought xrummer. Now I can say it's truly ALL about the backlinks because my blogs average from 200 unique visits to several 1000's a day.. 6 months ago they were parked..

Then I notice my server crawled to a halt after the backlinks kicked in. I turned off all feeds and now you must register to post. This worked for a month and now the server is slow again and sites resolve very slow.

If someone wants to give me a good tips on server strategy or the next step to a newer server I'll do the same for xrumer or might do a run for you free.

    Finally:
All that use xrumer know the program is awesome BUT you must have a sound stratgy before you use it. I was VERY lucky because I've ran popular forums for years and know what to do and not. In short, I can walk you through it free of charge and provide a sound PROVEN strategy of success in return for splog management advice.

    Regards

There is a WP plugin to cache your content for one thing, and also try spreading some of your sites across multiple servers/hosts. Are you using a VPS or shared hosting? If shared then get a VPS for sure, and if you have a VPS already then get another one and spread your sites out, or get a Co-loacted server with good specs (quad xeon with lots of memory)

Thanks Badd and kallen, for replies. I have a dedicated server (VPS) with WP plugin to cach also. As mentioned I've also, turned off all feeds, must be a members to post, un-checked Attempt to notify any blogs linked to from the article, ping/trackbacks, plus killed the mail server.. do you think it is a good idea to limit the size of pictures? hmmm wonder if you can do this through WP admin panel.

    Again, Thanks..

I'd get another VPS on a different host and move a few sites to it. It may be that your VPS and/or the pipe to it sucks ass.

Actually tried it for a little bit but weboptimizer looks better, it not just caches files but optimizes CSS,JS etc.
