Well, I have a micro niche site, targeting like 5 different keywords. Each page, targets 1 keyword. Should I put all of the 5 keywords in each pages meta tags? or just do the meta tags that, this specific page talks about?
Will too many meta tags (like 5 or 6) be bad for SEO? Is it better to have 1 or 2 super targeted meta tags for each page?

Note, all keywords contain some of the same words.

    Opinions?

The only meatags you need to consider are title and description. Anything else is a waste of time.

Use a couple of keywords max. Google hates keyword stuffing

You should have about 5 ( max 10) keywords on your main page. And these keyword should reflect your sub pages, the sub page will have the same 1 keyword and then longtails, no more than 5

So if your site is about Dogs; then you will have keywords:
Black dogs, White dogs, Blue Dogs, Dirty Dogs, Weird Dogs

Your sub page should then be called:
    Page 1 - Black dogs
    Page 2 - White dogs
    Page 3 - Blue Dogs
    Page 4 - Dirty Dogs
    Page 5 - Weird Dogs

The keywords for the above sub pages will the look like this:
    Page 1 - Black dogs
Keywords : Long black dogs, Beautiful black dogs, Horny Black dogs, Old Black Dogs, Funny Black Dogs

If you have sub - sub pages below page 1, then it could be like this
Funny Beautiful black dogs, Old Beautiful black dogs, Washing a Beautiful black dog, etc etc

That in anyway is how i structure my sites, and i am getting pretty good results. I am sure there are other ways but this works for me

I think it is better to not confuse the robot, so keep only the relevant meta for every page.

No worries at all glad i could have been of help.
These SEO things can be a bit tricly at times but ones you get your head around it and think out of the box, so to speak, it gets pretty straight forward.

Very important is to always keep the keywords relevant to the page and don't over do it, try to keep it down to may 5 keywords per page and also try to use keywords in the title as well as description.

    Keywords should appear in Title
( i know you cant have all the keywords there, just be creative and hve at least one of them)

Keywords should be in the description
(this is very important, use as many as possible keywords in thr description, but dont overdo it so it looks funny when u read it)
