    Hi guys,
just few minutes ago I was trying to access a streaming site I usually visit.
I searched his name on google. Usually was always at first position. But today there wasn't.
So I searched "title of what I wwanted watch + site name". Even with this more accurate search, site didn't appear... But this time at the end of the page appeared a link "Claim"
clicking on it I seen around 6 DMCA notification for that site, issued by 25 March.
in DMCA DB there was 6 URL (none of them was the homepage though).

So, this is my question: What happened to this site? could just 6 DMCA cause a site disappearing from SERP?
Keep in mind it was a very popular streaming site. Basing on similarweb it was having around 13 Milion monthly users.

Please keep in mind I'm asking this just out of curiosity and to expand my knowledge... I do not own that site and I do not want ruin it

Google released a update called Pirate Update. If a site receives too many DMCA complaints, its search visibility will decrease.

they are not able (maybe "yet") to take it down, so they basically force google to not display the results to you (if you access google from another country you should still see the desired result).

    Maybe your right ,

dmca are powefull if the server are in usa.

I think the sever goes down not the domain name , the domain already known on it own as guessing if millions use it.

have you tried any other search engine yet?

It happen to justin.tv so it possable.

Server is unlikely to go down, no one who is sane would host with non-bulletproofed servers/hosting a streaming site.

If Someone steals content and posts it online, you can send a take-down notice to the owner of the website and the search engines to request that the infringing material be taken down. And then they send intimation message to inform us. But you continously got DMCA notification like this sure your site will disappear from SERP. If we use USA server DMCA are powerfull.

At least Bing responds to DMCA notifications pretty fast, same as Google. It's just many copyright and trademark owners ignoring them because their marketshare, especially outside the US, is very small.

    Home Page:
It's just another type of penalty pretty much.

I dunno if they do it manually or algorithmically but definitely yes, you can dispensary because of that. very bad performance or complete de-indexation.

there are many backlinks that seems natural, but there also many backlinks seems unnatural to me... For example there are many links from empty blog, domain and tumblr
