We have a wide range of members looking to make money and better themselves. Many countries don't allow the opportunities that online income can. $1000/month to some would be extremely wealthy in your country.

    So I'm just curious.
    What country are you from?
What is your goal to make per month?
If you made that much, what would your lifestyle be like? (ie one of the bigger houses in the city, car, eat at fancy restaurants, etc)
What is considered rich in your country/city? (ie you're considered very wealthy if you make $xxxxxx per year)
How far would $500/month go for you, compared to the rest of the population?

Here in the UK $500 wouldn't buy you much. I've got friends live in Thailand and there it's another story

With 500$ per month in Moldova you would be a rich person as an average salary here is 100-250 $/month.

    50 per month food average
100 per month for gas for winter season and about 20 summer/autumn
    50 per month for entertaining

so you are left with 300 that can buy different things that you want and not be afraid that you wont have money.

Here in Serbia 500$ is average salary where you can live of a rented apartment and live a decent life.

Back home in India it is almost nothing. Since I come from a huge city and I have a lavish lifestyle there.

Currently trying to cope up with travelling in public transport here in Serbia but hey it is all fun :)

500$ pm in Krakow (Poland) - enough for student to rent a room and have modest life.

500$ in UK - pfff... Not much, not much at all. Moved to UK to make more "personal" gigs - building websites for local businesses. Occassionaly getting inspiration from BHW how to make something easier / smarter / quickier :)

Im from Norway, 500 dollars lol. Thats nothing. working as a cashier in a food store you will earn around 3000 dollars a month after tax. 500 dollar would get you cigarettes for a month if you smoke 20 a day ;)

Same in denmark, 500$ is nothing. I cant even get food for a month for that. My apartment is at 1500$ a month at the moment without gas/electricity/water bills. But ye it depends a lot on where you live ofcourse. The minimum salary in denmark is 25$ an hour, and thats crappy jobs. I got an ok job next to my IM, and i get around 50$ an hour there.

Thats why i enjoy going to Thailand/Phillipines etc. with like 5000$ and be like a king for 2 weeks or something haha. Damn i used a lot of money in Boracay PH :D Sooo worth it

I'm glad this thread was started for the fact that many members on here do not realize the drastic differences in economies across the world. And many members end up flaming other members whenever they ask for outsourcing at specific prices.

In Sl0v3nia, the minimal legally allowed monthly net wage is around $580 and no, you can't live a normal life with that. Don't even ask how insane the tax on wages is:S Greedy socialistic-capitalistic government hybrids...

In Costa Rica $400 is the minimum salary so with $500 you can live but with many limitations

I'm from Germany and sadly $500 (that is around 380 Euro) is nothing here. Someone who would only earn 380 Euro per month, would be considered as very poor here. That's not even enough to rent a 1 room flat and pay for food for the whole month.
You need something about $1500 per month to live a somewhat decent live in Germany.
I don't have a specific goal what I would like to earn per month. I'm happy with whatever I make, as long as it's enough to live a decent live. Everything above is of course appreciated, but not by all means necessary.

500$ is enough for two people to live decently in India. It covers all basic needs like food, rent and electricity bills.

    I'm from France
I would like to make at least $200-300 per month
I would just buy some things and cover daily expenses (going out, ...)
In France you can be considered rich if you earn ~€2000 per month
$500 in my country is not enough to live (monthly) but this can be a very good extra income.

    Cheers.
