Ok I have a review site I'm setting up. I was wondering what would be the best for seo? I'm looking to get search traffic for each review page.

Option 1:

http://review.com/fitness/how-to-get-abs.htm

Option 2:

http://fitness.review.com/how-to-get-abs.htm

Option 3:

http://how-to-get-abs.review.com


Hope you understand what I'm wanting to know. And I would appreciate any help

It depends on how you'll use it and what type of SEO you'll use, Whitehat or Blackhat. Personally, I go with niche and not worry about the architecture til later.

You can go with either subdomains or directories, which is almost the exact the same thing. Just be wise, know what you're targeting and find out how you'll get there on your own. That's the best way of creating your own niche.

so subdomain and subdirectory doesnt' matter?

I am contemplating between "subkeyword.mainkword.com" or "mainkeyword.com/subkeyword"

I really need the subdomain because I'm targeting cities, such as "chicago diets" and I have a kick ass .com w/ main keyword, so i need a subdomain like "chicago.diets.com".

Which is better? Thanks

Option 1 or option 2 both will do same but for option 3 i will say to avoid it.. too many complexities... LOL If you are taking micro niche inside a broad niche then subdomain or subdirectory both are good option but if you doing geo targeted then rocket's advice is very good. Think what you planning and then go with your options except third..
