I know two people who have websites on first spot on google for local lead gen sites. both websites barley have any words on them.

I thought you had to have a lot of words on websites in order for them to rank? but I guess this is not the case?

"plano rhinoplasty" and "chiropractor birmingham" there are two websites FIRST spot on google for those keyword with barley any content?

this is a reasonable thing to do then right? to make a website and rank with it very little content?

I ask because this would save me lots of time and money on articles. thank you

Did you checked their domain metrics and links? In my opinion google can't understand language, but it does understand metrics.

Rent a serp was big years ago. Like super big, dentists, lawyers, plastic surgeons, etc...... were the best customers. You could chase your local roofer, plumber, hvac, or electrician too. I think the whole locksmith craze exploded out of this too.

Some people claim that local updates took some of the ease out of this. 2010 to 2013 was king of the mountain for this from what I read. I did hear posing as a lawyer website can cause problems.

I was working on my own version of this with some twists as I am a contractor.

I'm sure that dentists, lawyers and surgeons were good targets, probably the best. The amount of money they make off of just a single "walk in" patient coming in would more then likely surpass the amount they're paying for "the month" to rent the page.

If I were to do it, I would do more than the minimum. The reasoning is for me if I go to sell the website outright, the more professional it looks the better it is for me. Second, the more it looks past just a bare minimum lead generation site the more traffic you should get. Go raid another city and state's website for some text to rewrite about unit it passes.

A person whom wanted to sell me leads least year, said one of the highest value "leads" was mesothelioma at $4k plus to the lawyer. I never did PPC at all, but remember reading about Scottsdale DUI lawyer at some insane cost for ppc. So yes you are correct.

The first one is Alex Becker and I would imagine the 2nd one is too. He's using a PBN with links you can see (and he shows it in some of his videos). And I would also bet he's probably using some hidden 301 redirects too. I don't think majestic, semrush, ahrefs or any other tools can see the hidden 301's (that's the point after all).

So at the end of the day, there's likely more link juice flowing to this than what you imagine. Thus, the high ranking with very little text.

This. On all of this guy's sites, and his friends sites, he uses all kind of 301's and hidden PBN's to get his sites up there. Then he turns around and says, "Look you can do it with a couple of comment links'. He probably spent hundreds if not thousands getting those sites up there.

The other guy is G Ortiz and if you look the backlink profile of his chiropractor site you'll see that he does the same thing. He says, "I only use PBN's for my sites" and that's a complete lie. He uses directory links, probably his directories, and I'm assuming 301's.

He sells PBN services so he won't say he also uses directories because they aren't his and he can't make money off of it.

The guru's need to make this stuff look easy so they can sell their courses and overpriced software. Don't believe the dreams these people are selling, it takes 100x more work and 1000x more patience that they present.

Also, all their software can be found for half price, if not more, with a little searching. Or if you have time all their services can be done by hand.

Bottom line ... Don't give any Guru any of your money.
