I have a channel about famous people and i have 2 old music videos that have a lot of views and are copyright free, should i delete that videos for get monetize?

the videos are like this:

Do you need to delete it? Cant you just unlist it or whatever it's called?

No you cannot, if you want to apply to get into the YPP you need to delete those videos, privated, public or unlisted videos count the same.

If in my channel I have 100 original videos and 2 videos of music (without copyright), do I have to delete them anyway?

yes u can lol. i have done it on many channel.
although they have the ability to look into private videos if needed that's still not what the reviewer looks for.

they care only about public content.

i had a channel demonetized for re used content. i privated those videos and applied with new original content.
i didnt delete old re used content ones, just privated

i got approved with so many channels like that lol

People are checking your channel out, it's always different. In my experience channels with copyrighted videos on it (public, private or unlisted) do not get approved into YPP.

Good for you that it works! :)

in my experience and my clients experience it's the exact same result on 50 channels. but in one condition.

the content applied with is original content, transformative etc.
ur channel appears like proper brand, each video has a proper description and channel has a good about page etc.

now if any of these things are not followed then i cannot guarentee approval. again rejection is not coz of private video with re used/copyrighted content.
it's coz of existing public content that is not transformative or original.

when this was followed all 50 channels we tried got approved.

fun fact: on one channel there was more than 20 re uploads of some Copyright claimed content.
and we applied for monetization by just privating those

I do mainly "trendy" videos and I got rejected many times(2 times on 2 different channels) because of reused or copyrighted content on privated videos. (But you can't be 100 percent sure what it really is lol)

You are lucky with your 50 channels ;)

Unlisting / privating videos doesn't work, they check those as well when you apply.
3 of my friends never had issue with same. we always private videos and apply.
had official music video with 30M views. re used content.
applied with our gaming content.
Similar situation. got approved all the time.

had Naruto re-uploads with over 100M views.

made all of it private and applied with self made content. got approved.

Weird, didn't work for my channels. But then again I privated like two thirds of the videos I had, maybe that was a bit too much of a red flag.

hmm its strange but personally i dont think so.
i cant know unless i see the channel anyway can i see an example channel?

with the public videos u applied with? maybe that content itself caused the rejection.

coz i do have experience when ineligible content got us rejected in one case while we had private videos and we thought private videos caused it.

next time we just changed it to gameplay commentary and applied with the Same private videos and they approved us.

from my experience they care about your public content
