I am sure the more experienced members are aware of this method but some of us newbies aren't and so I thought I should share this. Let's say your niche is "widgets" but for some reason Google is not displaying enough relevant/high paying adsense ads for your keyword. So to get relevant ads to display, Google has a function called Section Targeting. This function basically tells Google to ignore a part of your website and to focus on a part(that maybe rich in your keywords) that you want it to focus on. You use the tags - <!-- google_ad_section_start(weight=ignore) --> Content you want to ignore here<!-- google_ad_section_end --> for Google to ignore that content and tags <!-- google_ad_section_start --> Your keyword rich content<!-- google_ad_section_end --> for Google to focus on the keyword rich content. How can this be used? Basically use the ignore tags to ignore your write up and at the end of your post, write a list of tags relevant to your keyword. eg: TAGS: green widgets, widgets in LA, thin widgets, fat widgets, etc. And wrap this between <!-- google_ad_section_start --> <!-- google_ad_section_end -->. You can even use <h1> tag on your TAGS section. I have personally tried this and have gotten Google to display the ads that I want it to display. Make sure that your website/post is relevant to your TAGS keywords, otherwise you will be breaking Adsense TOS. Don't write tags for "weightloss" on your "widgets" website.
