Anyone else feels tired from the whole internet thing?

Huge amount of shit sites and shit forums. In each forum huge amount of people wasting their live away collecting their posts and circle jerking/hyping on some subject.

Everyone is turning to IM, everyone wants to be the next internet millionaire/yotuube celebrity. When I look at all the huge communities on the web I start to think - where are the real people?

I've spent so much time on internet reading stuff, doing stuff, playing games, watching videos, etc...that I feel like I've seen it all and I am just sick of it all.

Honestly, right now I just want a nice, stable REAL LIFE job that I enjoy and where I get to communicate with people daily, make REAL LIFE connections and REAL LIFE friends (internet friends don't count)!

    Anyone else feel the same?

Yes, sometimes I feel that way. But fuck being a 9-5 drone. Those people are miserable.

I knew someone would say something like this. Anyway, I would. It's just hard as hell to find a real and good job right now. Also, I wouldn't lose my internet business. I have learned enough to be able to sustain it passively. The thing is - I was addressing the whole internet culture in general.

WTF is wrong with you? No, these people are not miserable. These people are actually NECESSARY for our society to function. Unless one is a social retard who is not able communicate with REAL people you will not be miserable. I mean, real life job offers so much more possibilities if you think about it. You can use your charisma to get good connections and advance in your career, you can actually get STATUS. Nobody will take you seriously when you say you make adsense websites or some stuff like that, but if you say you're a judge, for example, or a manager, people will respect you and look differently.

You are only a drone if you hate your job. In order to succeed online, you still have to be a drone only sitting at a PC alone.

Also, everyone believes he can become an internet success, but it's such BS. There is only so much of that pie and I can see how for the past years saturation has increased and getting on top has become significantly harder.

There are so much scams, hype, sales letters that sometimes I just get sick.

It's so much nicer to converse with people when you see them in the eye, feel their emotions, see how they react, etc...

Yes after a couple weeks of making money non stop online I do get tired of the internet and get super lazy. This is why I have found a nice little part time job to keep money coming in while I am not working on the internet. Now I have to step it up big time since I am being evicted from my parents hell hole by June 1st so I guess its time to hustle online every night for a couple hours and do the 9-5.

No offense small_town_boy, but I think you are a downer or IM is just not for you. I remember you made a similar thread in the past where people tried to encourage you about making money online, and you kept brushing it off. If you don't enjoy IM just change your life/goals/ etc and go for what you want, IM is not for everybody. You ranting on a blackhat internet forum is not going to get rid of any dissatisfaction you feel.

Also not all those people working for others is happy, statistics show 80% of all people hate their jobs. Those smiles you see at their work is fake. Most jobs do not give status. The only jobs that give status is the ones where you make a lot of money. Which most people will never obtain.

everything I have ever done in my life I have been tired/bored of at one point. When I was younger I let it get the best of me and quit different things. Now I figured out that taking a break is necessary.

What you really need to ask yourself is are you progressing or is your online business standing still? are your earnings going up daily/monthly/yearly?

if they are progressing why wouldnt you want to keep at it? think were you could be 5 years from now and 5 years passes quicker than you think.

if business is at a standstill take a break and come back to it. If its still not moving then yeah get a 9-5 and maintain that piece of pie you earned for yourself online.

I don't think people are getting what OP meant... he wasn't talking about IM at all, just the new generation addicted to the internet overall...

Yes, I'm a bit devastated that like 80% of kids in high school spend more time on the computer surfing/gaming than doing anything else. Like 1/10 skip school to be home on the computer all day, or playing COD on xbox 360 or something along those lines.

Now everyone's got facebook... sure the QUANTITY of friends they have is impressive... but what about QUALITY? How many of those "friends" have they talked to or seen in person in the past year?

You go to a mall (I live in a big city, so can't speak for everyone) and I swear like 1/3 of people I see walking around are completely zoomed in into their blackberry/iphone/psp/nintendo ds/whatever texting/surfing/gaming at the same time.

I'll agree it's getting pretty sad...

For the most part, the internet is a shithole of mediocrity. People with nothing else to do during the day except post inane, banal, narcissistic bullshit about their stupid lives every 3 minutes with a tweet or a comment or some other needless crap on some needless blog.
And let's not forget youtube. More bullshit from a bunch of asswipes.

The sheer volume of internet usage during the day is proof that people are wasting time and money when they should be working or studying..or God fucking forbid....going outside and enjoying the day without being plugged in.

I swear to Christ, I'm convinced if we took a IQ test of the entire online community in the world who was logged into facebook, myspace, twitter, youtube, blah blah blah...the average could not possibly be over 90.

I've been online since 1992/93 when AOL had like 2 million users. It's been downhill since. Web 2.0 killed it.

I use the internet to make money(which includes BHW) and email friends and family. Period. And then I get off the computer.

Oh, and I watch porn sometimes.

Agree 100%. I find it amazing how myspace and now facebook have completely redefined what the word "FRIEND" means. These people aren't your friends. They're acquaintances. At best. And online ones at that.

I feel the Internet space offers more credible platform to be oneself than in the real world. Dirty office politics & every day travel to office are enough to make love the Internet space.

If I can make 100USD per month from Internet I'd be thanking GOD for the Internet evolution.

Internet is only medium which can save us from the Corporate slavery !! :AR15firin

I prefer the internet world over the real world now maybe I'm different.. I grew up without the internet and cell phones i remember those days i had the best fun ever and i'm grateful for those memories. In this modern world its bullshit to socialize with anyone there is no trust and everyone has their own intentions and the people you meet are random and you befriend them for very long time in your life then years later you realize they are the ones slowing you down. Your own friends secretly want to overpower or outshine you and secretly expects you to be lesser than them believe it or not. Find loyal people like close family you can trust if you need help. This is just a few things in the real world I hate so be careful when you say you want to get back in the social world employed with co workers because those co workers aren't on your side.

Why do I prefer the internet? Because it narrows down the niches. For ex at BHW we meet people of the same kind. Isn't that the realist thing ever? A Community where you meet people like you. I guarantee if you knew each other in real life you'd be best of friends more than the friends you claim to know now.

    just my 2 cents...

PS: my real life friends made me 0$ in real life but people I know here saved my ass.

    Really.
So you honestly believe that the internet actually helps people be themselves. That's pretty amazing considering anyone can say anything about themselves that is utter bullshit and call it fact.
If anything, the internet has propagated the disengagement of humanity.

As for your opinion on "corporate slavery"...I love that. I wonder if my wife feels like a corporate slave with her $150k salary.
    Plus stock options
    Plus bonuses
    Plus vacations

Look, if you want to try to make a living online..right on brother. Go for it and I applaud you. I do the same.
But please stop with the corporate slavery thing. Some people actually enjoy getting up in the morning, going into an office, talking and engaging other human beings and working to manufacture, distribute, sell something, heal someone, teach someone etc. It's really true.

    I agree 100%.

I left a six figure day job to go full time in this business. It's not always about the money. For one, I enjoy the freedom that being self employed provides. I'll admit though, there isn't a week that passes where I don't miss, if even just a little, the feeling of closing someone face to face. :)

This would be a great rant if the internet was like the Jehovah's Witness.
But it's not, and you can log off, and it doesn't exist anymore.

What i'm tired of though is when i'm in a hell just like you, and instead of getting out i look for stuff to blame or to keep me in it.

OP, pursue you passion and if this isn't it, then go to it. A regular brick and mortar business might be something more up you alley if a job isn't.

Personally, I am here until xmas and if I haven't got a nice sustain income, then fuck it. I am gone to do something else. Life's too short to sit in front of a PC all day.

Oh and I had the $150k salary for 5 years at a company, but I still hated it there too. I was tied to a PC, phone, meetings and cubicle for 60 hrs a week.
